The isometric movement system combined with a somewhat cluttered and mostly destructible environment can make the world of Bastion somewhat counter-intuitive to navigate. Beyond that, though, I'm stuggling to say anything bad about this game.

The variety of weapons and character perks unlockable in the game allow anyone to play in a way that best suits them. The weapons available include everything from mortars and flamethrowers to bows and machetes. The number of completely different enemies, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, also adds a lot of depth to the combat.

Where Bastion really shines, though, is in its story-telling. The setting, in itself, is highly original and allows for interesting and varied gameplay environments. The story is always very player-driven, with enough twists and turns to keep you engaged, and the characters are well-constructed and likable. I'd also go as far as to say that the narration and soundtrack are the best of any game that I've played.
