If you're a gamer, this is the best coop game. If you're a game developer, this is a master class in great game design.

I wish I could recommend this game. It could have been the right fun mix of minecraft and ARK, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.

Some of the game aspects are even better than in ARK Survival Evolved. For example, pipes snap to the block-grid, so everything looks rather neat, than the mis-aligned hot piping mess you get in ARK.

The player base has died off, though. After PixARK was made available, lots of official servers were filled. It grew from 2,000 to about 5,000 servers, as reported by the ARKbrowser website.

Right now (Oct 26, 2018), there are 475 servers total servers, 138 official servers (which are servers provided and operated by Snail Games). Of those servers, there's only ONE server in the US, and that is "NA-Pioneering-theland19". All other servers official servers are in Germany (79), China (53), and Australia (5).

Of those 475 servers, only 29 of them have players on them. If you only look at official servers, there are literally 10 servers with exactly 19 players on them. The highest populated official server right now has 4 players, on NA-Pioneering-theland14. Most of the servers only report a single player. This is at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. On weekends, I'm sure (hoping) there's a few more folks out there, but that's about it.

Developers communicate rarely. When they do, it's in broken English (even if the development is done in China, they should hire a fluent, native English speaker, who engages with the community).

Very unfortunate. Rumors are, there's an update coming. It's going to have to fix a lot of issues to save this game.

Well, I played through it in one sitting. Assembly instruction set style logic puzzles. Throws me back 20 years doing stuff like the ACSL programming contest. Totally dig that art style, too.

Totally over the top (co-op) action in a sandbox world with a hilarious storyline as well!
