Do you have to learn Esperanto to enjoy this? Not at all. Did I learn it anyways? You bet.

From an educational standpoint, this game serves as a legit guide to get the base of what Esperanto is, I don't think its practical to play this VN solely for learning it, but it works. Given that you pay attention to the tutorials and learning exercises (Which can be skipped FYI).

Now, as a personal standpoint, this VN is stupendous, not only because of the Esperanto but because the FMC really hits home, she messes up a lot, she overthinks everything and overall she is a complete mess, but how could she not be after suddenly ending up in another world where she doesn't understand anything? At the end of the day I dont think any of us would react any better than her.

Other than that, the story is great, the score is nice and the endings just tug at your heartstrings.

A nice DLC, adding more expressions to each character, more smooth transitions and most importantly: A good story.

Aside from the obvious recommendations, I think everyone who liked the main story should play this mainly because it draws out each of the characters, which allows for some really heartfelt moments that may resonate with some people for good or bad reasons Joe and Tess heart-to-heart particularly, maybe not, but at least you would have played a great VN.

The best, no doubt. If you know Hanakotoba (Japanese form of the language of the flowers) this gains a whole new perspective, and a richer experience IMO.

Also if you know a lot of movies or read a lot of books you may catch some good references, since Suoh watches a lot of those, be like Suoh.

Aesthetically wise, the most polished VN ever, like damn.
The story is quite the ride, at some point I did consider that it wasn't really getting anywhere, and then boom, it peaks.
You may also tend to leave the game open on the main menu just for the song, which I think is normal xd
It's a slow ride, but a nice one for sure.

Artbook is cool and the comic is ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm positive that, at times, this game can be even more disturbing than Amnesia: The Dark Descent

This is a great game, it has spooky ambience, challenging puzzles and a lot of things that you wouldn't expect.
