So far I've only completed Act 1 and Act 2. I trust that the story does get better.

I believe I am the minority when I say Jin Sakai's journey to becoming the Ghost isn't as justified as the developers seem to think. Maybe it is due to the fact that this game is obviously catered towards a male audience, and they'd probably be satisfied with a good enough story that has the high quality combat to satiate their thirst.

The depth and quality of the characters and scripts are not incredible. Jin isn't a complex character, boring perhaps. The overwhelmingly beautiful aesthetics of the game carry both clarity and cinema which creates an illusion of complexity. I found that many of the side stories were repetitive, predictable, and a little lazy at times. Sometimes the dialogue would make me cringe and ultimately shatter my immersion.

Overall, the game only seems to have high levels of completion when in reality only the graphics and combat are well established and refined. I'd say this game's reputation and praise are justified, but the story is cliche and lazy. I bought this in hopes for a story that was on par with Red Dead Redemption, but was met with disappointment.

by far the sh/tt/est horror game i've ever played in my life. not scary at all. random and boring. very short. so flakily developed it ruins my immersion and i'm just hyper aware it's a game throughout. what is this. waste of my time. leave. get out.
