A hugely underrated game. Very immersive (literally!) and while it's not without its bugs, they are more annoying than game-breaking. One of the few games I was sorry to complete as I wanted it to go on, I could have quite happily lived until an old age on that planet! Great story line, well told, with fantastic voice acting and some decent sub-plots (I'm on fire with these puns!) Gorgeous graphics that I'd imagine would be breathtaking in VR. One of the best single-player games I've played in a long time. Highly recommended!

While I liked previous games in the Tomb Raider franchise, I can't say I was a massive fan. That's all changed with this Tomb Raider reboot! This, in my opinion, was THE game of the year 2013 - and there were a lot of very good games released that year. The gameplay is fluid, the graphics are spectacular, the story is very well written (by Rhianna Pratchett), the motion capture is ridiculously well done, and the voice acting (by Camilla Luddington) is the best I've heard in a video game so far - and that includes Mass Effect and Arkham City!

I enjoyed this game so much, I played through it again as soon as I'd completed the single player version. While attempting (and succeeding) to find all the "lost" items, I saw so much more of the island. It feels like a living, breathing place with real inhabitants and animals. It felt like true immersion and it's a credit to Eidos & Square Enix.

The game is available for pennies nowadays, I suggest you buy it immediately - you won't regret it!
