game is honestly very fun with a lot to do and find and it feels very core stalker

the problems i have are npcs shooting you from miles away with near full accuracy and when you ads to try and find them you can't because of the meter tall grass they can see you through, its somehow better to rushdown and fight opponents in cqc (which is kinda not stalkery) because you have a much better chance of just instantly killing them with a headshot, mutants are still quite tanky and are most of the time a waste of resources, even after the mutant part update its still not worth it, carry weight and capacity are very undertuned, like a lot of items being extremely heavy and even worse in bulk, and being encumbered just sucks in general

overall its a solid experience and i would recommend it but just know that there can be some extremely infuriating moments in this game like being shot over cover from miles away through bushes and having to waste a lot of your resources for just like 1-2 fights

"help! i don't have enough damage for the last fight in my difficulty!"

failed a password lock 10 times, got jumpscared by a dude called "the glowing one" who was essentially a nuclear bomb as a ghoul in the room i unlocked.

10/10 jumpscare would unlock again

reached level 30 (endgame) in 27 hours,

10/10 game even in 2024 it still holds up and has qol and graphical elements not even seen in AAA games today

progression is smooth, a big break in the story meant it was time for the DZ which felt super natural.

100% worth it for literally $4.50

this game is not "grindy" or has "spongy enemies" if it does, you're seriously underleveled or playing the encounter wrong

gambled my system files for an instant win

10/10 would reboot my pc again
