Pros
  • First No More Heroes game where you can play with more characters besides Travis, with their own move set.
  • Also the first time in which you can dual wield beam katanas.
  • It's now possible to change beam katanas during battle.
  • Amazing character designs, as always.
  • Still has the humor and feel of NMH1.
  • Good soundtrack.
  • Incredible voice acting performances.
  • The body physics in this game are something else man ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯.
  • MOE.

Mixed
  • No more job/mini-game grind is required to advance the main story. I have mixed feelings on this because it was a core mechanic and part of the DNA of No More Heroes.
  • There is no more open world.
  • Visually, it's not much different from the first one.
  • 60 fps limit.

Cons
  • My biggest problem with this game, the bosses. Who the hell thought that "Let's make the player run around after the boss the whole fight like a cat going after a mouse" was a good idea.
Legit 90% of the boss fights are like fighting zoners in fighting games but with an insane amount of BS, the other 5% are special boss fights where the gameplay is not the regular one and the other 5% are the only good boss fights. This is a major downgrade compared to NMH1.
  • Besides the bad boss fight design, they are not as iconic as the first game bosses.
  • The final boss is horrible, rank 2 boss was a much better candidate.
  • Bare-bones PC port, with pretty basic configurable options. Needs user tinkering to adjust the game and avoid crashes, there are guides on how to resolve this.
  • The camera is still a problem.
  • The videos in-game are very low quality, resolution wise.
  • No auto saves + Random crashes = Disaster.

Verdict - 6.5/10
What can I say, it's more No More Heroes.
The core is still here, but is very far from being as great as NMH1.
NMH2 is still a great game, but during my playtime, I was always feeling like I was playing a downgraded and rushed version of NMH1.

Pros
  • The core wave horde game loop is still fun.
  • Expanded skill trees.
  • Like the other 2 games, this one is still hard and with a heavy focus on team play.
  • The gore is a definitive step up.
  • The codex is a welcome addition.
  • The players now have vertical movement with the vaulting system.
  • New zed behavior like the crawlers crawling on walls and ceilings and husk flying and shooting from high ground.
  • Crossplay.
  • No EDARs, for now.

Mixed
  • Characters locked to perks, which will be removed on the next update.
  • Weapon modifications are a welcome addition, but the problem is they now introduce a RANDOM modifier on each tier 3 attachment installed on a weapon, like is this ♥♥♥♥♥ borderlands or something????
  • The Zeds look like DOOM demons.
  • Only 5 waves game length mode.
  • No Suicidal difficulty, normal is a snooze fest and going from normal to hard is like going from normal to suicidal in KF2.
  • Some new bangers in the music department, but most of the music is recycled. Enjoy hearing KF2 main menu music during waves in KF3.

Cons
  • You get UNREAL performance, with UNREAL graphics with UNREAL ENGINE 5. If you want to get playable fps do not use lumen.
Without lumen the game looks very "plastic", worse than low settings in KF2 but at least is playable.
Played on an RX 6700xt, 5700x3d with 80fps average, 1440p/XeSS ultra quality plus.
  • All the maps are night maps and lack variety. Also, since they are all night maps, with lumen disabled you can't see crap.
  • So many play tests and the servers still suck, and don't get me started on the bugs and technical issues (even worse than release CP2077).
  • Playing with medic in KF3 is 99999999x worse than playing with KF1 and KF2 medic class (Medic was my main class in the previous games).
  • Heals are now limited, no universal medic syringe nor welders. Somehow, the tech in 2009 is much better than in 2091.
  • Why is everything color graded like this is apex legends?
  • Why is there ultimate abilities? If I wanted to play a hero shooter, I would play other games, not KF.
  • 90% of the weapons suck, both in shooting, animations and visuals. Even the sci-fi weapons in KF1 and KF2 were better.
  • Added downed state like this game is a battle royale, and added "finishers" on Scrakes and Fleshpounds like this game is doom.
  • The game is full of technical issues and lack of content, but one thing I'm certain, the fooking micro-transactions shop works like a charm.
  • In game store and battle passes.
  • Besides foster, there is not a single iconic character, and therefore lacks the classic British humor KF was known for.
  • All the bosses suck, where is The Patriarch, Hans and Matriarch? Instead, we got your average zed, but bigger.
  • Added so many new damage types that you can create a fckng pokemon-like damage types chart. What the hell was tripwire thinking.
  • In plain 2025, there is not a text chat feature, IN A TEAM FOCUSED GAME.
Jesus christ, Killing floor 1 had 5% of the budget, development time and human resources, and it was a feature present day one.
  • No stalkers, you know, the iconic invisible zed that was present since the beginning in all the games.
  • They decided to give a lot of zeds ranged attacks, like killing floor was known to be a bullet hell or something.
  • THE HUB, a useless time-wasting trash, this hub mechanic is the "Could have been an email" of gaming. Just let us browse servers and use menus for upgrades and stuff, like the good old times.
  • The big zeds (scrakes and fleshpound) lack the danger and presence they were known in the past, and they are very commonly mistaken for other zed because they all look gray.
  • The User Interface is simply disgusting, better than beta 1 but still disgusting.
  • Instead of Brit humor, we got cringy gen z humor.
  • No weight system, you know, just one of the best mechanics that was part of the Killing floor identity, now you can only carry 2 main weapons and 1 side arm.

Veredict - 4/10

Killing Floor 3 wants to be Apex Legends.
Killing Floor 3 wants to be Call of Duty.
Killing Floor 3 wants to be Overwatch.
Killing Floor 3 wants to be Helldivers.
Killing Floor 3 wants to be DOOM.
Killing Floor 3 wants to be Pokemon.
Killing Floor 3 wants to be Darktide.
Killing Floor 3 wants to be Borderlands.
Killing Floor 3 does not want to be Killing Floor.

I understand that Killing Floor was always a niche franchise and tripwire felt the need to attract more people, mainly the young blood (tik tok generation), but this ain't it.
Appealing to everyone is appealing to no one.

It's not by implementing overused mechanics that Killing floor will grow as a franchise and attract new people. And by doing so it also loses its old heads and KF veterans since this game amalgamation of overdone ideas is anything but a Killing Floor game.

Besides the identity issues, this game is insanely under cooked, this should be in early access state, at the bare minimum, I got more bugs playing this than Cyberpunk 2077 on it's release day.

So as game and as a killing floor game, it sucks. Should have called it Nightfall or something.

Pros
  • Satisfying combat, parry focused like Sekiro with different combinations of combos and skills.
  • Top-tier original soundtracks, ranging from hard rock, to opera, to Korean pop. Some tracks were made in collaboration with studio MONACA (if you're familiar with their work, you know what to expect). The quality is right up there with Metal Gear Rising and NieR games. Also this game was absolutely robbed at the 2024 Game Awards, it completly deserved to win the soundtrack of year award. Instead, a remix of old FF7 osts won, F U Geoff Keighley.
  • Some of the best boss fights in the genre, absolute stellar designs and stages.
  • High quality cutscenes.
  • There is a lot of high quality outfits to collect, from spicy ones to casual ones. I can't even decide on my favorite yet,
  • Beautiful characters, a palate cleanser from the modern slop being released these days.
  • Good performance with no bugs or crashes found during my playtime. Average of 63fps 1440p fsr3 native on a RX 6700xt on very high settings.
  • Japanese voice acting is excellent. English VA is decent, Raven and EVE have standout performances, but there are a few weaker ones.
  • Very good level design with interesting puzzles and hidden secrets.
  • You get what you buy, no micro-transactions, no "time savers", no in-game shop. Pay for a complete game, get a complete game.
  • Runs on Unreal Engine 4, not the bloated mess that is UE5.
  • Based director.
  • Mods, a whole lot of them.
  • Amazing photo mode with many configuration options.
  • Top-of-the-market body physics, only surpassed by Vindictus 2.

Mixed
  • The story is one of the weaker aspects, still decent, but it's no Automata. Despite heavy inspiration from NieR: Automata, the narrative shares more similarities with Replicant.
  • The game is pretty easy, only offering a challenge in the final boss fights and the recently added boss challenges (Scarlet and Mann, who are no joke, I got absolutely destroyed by them on normal difficulty). Hard mode is locked only to New Game Plus.
  • Both large open areas are deserts, which makes for a somewhat repetitive environment.
  • The main trio of characters deserved more development. Same applies to Tachy and Raven.

Cons
  • Platforming is bad, and unfortunately, there's a lot of it.
  • Like many modern games, image clarity suffers due to blurry temporal anti-aliasing and upscalers. Even at 1440p native with FSR3, there's noticeable blur and ghosting artifacts. TAA is awful, FSR3 is only slightly better. DLSS 4 is the best option, but it's hardware-locked, and ghosting is still present with every method.
  • The only way to disable some post processing effects is by manually editing the engine.ini file.
  • Denuvo.

Stellar Blade is the first full-fledged game from Shift Up, known for their gacha titles, and for a debut project, it’s truly impressive. It shows a lot of promise for the future, as long as Tencent or Sony doesn't buy them out and the goated director stays in charge.

It may not be as genre-defining or impactful as NieR: Automata, but Stellar Blade is still an excellent game that prioritizes fun above all. It's made with clear passion and love, without any focus on politics, "Woke" agendas, or whatever the media is currently pushing.

This game has great gameplay, soundtrack and style. People dismissing it as “just tits and ass” clearly don’t understand what fanservice is for. It's like seasoning on your steak.
A unseasoned steak is edible and maybe even decent but a well seasoned steak tastes great and leaves a lasting impression.

I was waiting for this game for a long time, since its first trailer in 2021 and I have to say that I am not disappointed, not one single bit, in fact Stellar Blade is the first game I ever pre-ordered where I didn't feel let down. Would pay 90€ all over again.

TAA is badly implemented, ghosting everywhere and excessive blur.
FSR 3 isn't much better and there is no option for XeSS (at least not on AMD GPUs).

Otherwise, ABSOLUTE CINEMA.

The game is very good but the pc port is horrendous.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this game, unless you don't mind being 30 fps locked.

Pros
  • Unique tatical RPG in a fictional WWII scenario.
  • Main protagonists are cool as well as the antagonists.
  • Well designed and diverse roster of characters to fill your platoon.
  • Mix of turn-based and real time tatical gameplay.
  • Very good artstyle.
  • Good PC port with all the DLCs included.
  • Ridiculously good japanese Voice actor casting, mainly Jun Fukuyama (he voiced Lelouch Lamperouge in code geass) for his incredible performance.
  • Runs on a potato.
  • Decent but predictable story.

Cons
  • Localization straight up just sucks.
  • Some of the later chapters are just tedious or filled with BS mechanics.
  • Classes might feel unbalanced, Scouts for example (mainly Alicia) can solo a chapter if used correctly. Some of the orders are busted, like penetration and demolition boost completly remove the necessity of using lancers.
  • If you get stuck you might have the necessity to grind some levels and to level up your units.

Veredict - 8/10
The game is one of a kind in its genre and its uniqueness carried it a little bit.
There are some dumb mechanics that were improved on Valkyria Chronicles 4, still this one is the OG and overall a pretty decent game with unique and charismatic characters.
Totally recommend it to fans of tatical RPG.
