I like everything about this game. It looks, plays and sounds pretty amazing. I'd agree that it is a bit too grindy, but the gameplay kept me going for hours regardless. It's good if you want to sink hours into a very pretty casual game. I had to get some burgers afterwards though, hahah >.<

I found the concept to be really cute, and it has a lot of potential. However, the game gets pretty repetitive really quick. The haggling mini-game is too basic and boring. Aligning ingredients seemed fun at first, but I found the requirement of having perfect alignment for tier 3 potions to be really annoying. The dialog was pretty uninteresting as well. Tiny Build likes publishing games that are not fully fleshed out it seems, but I'd much rather spend more and play a fully finished game.

This collection introduced me to Darkstalkers and I will forever be grateful for it ^^

The rest of the collection is very solid too. If you like monsters or non human creatures in fighting games, I would highly recommend trying this out

Early Access Review
Overall, I really enjoy this game. I love a lot of the game features, like raising gifted initiates in multiple schools, or discovering the underschools. Building the school itself is insanely fun, and all of the keywords that come into play are great to experiment with.

However, i wanted to voice some of my concerns about the latest few updates, as I find them to be too grindy and a bit unfair.

When there are too many mages at your school, the mage conviction suffers a -25 major discordance debuff. Trying to mitigate this by retiring a mage results in an additional -20 debuff, as they are sad to see them leave. So they seriously want their space, but they also can't deal with the mages leaving. During late game, this double penalty frequently puts them at a risk of breaking. It feels quite unfair, and it takes away from the fun of raising a variety of mages.

While I like raising gifted initiates, even after the recent nerf, I still find their level up to be too grindy. I understand that it might take a talented "double majoring" mage longer to graduate, but the difference is just too much.

A lot of the recent features that were introduced are pretty great, but things shouldn't be hard just because. I want to make a comparison between Oxygen Not Included and this game, because ONI, in my opinion, is extremely balanced while also being very difficult. Unlocking the research tree is not particularly hard, but utilizing the craftables requires many, many failed attempts. That's why the school building feature in this game is very solid, as it requires a lot of trial and error to fully understand, while also being very rewarding. I hope the developers can put a greater focus on that type of gameplay, and balance the new features out a bit. Aside from that, I am excited to see how this game develops.

+ you like rhythm games
+ you like goofy storytelling
+ you like "out of the box" level designs (that may or may not be literal so don't freak out like i did during the boss stage)
= play this game xx

The game is cool but please work on your language coding. Synonyms become an issue when you play with people who speak different languages. Some words don't even make any sense due to bad translation. There are spelling issues too. And the game gets buggy when there are a lot of people in the lobby. (You see the same images that you saw earlier). It is not unplayable but it needs some serious fixing.
