Early Access Review
I never played any of the other Battle Royal games that were out until now (H1Z1, the Culling, etc.) but I have always been interested in these type of games. After I finally bought it I was not disappointed, I was instantly hooked into the game. Sure there are a lot of bugs but it's in early access so that is to be expected and I immediately saw them working on these problems in updates which is where I understand where the other games failed. Another thing that I really enjoyed about this game compared to the others was how well optimized it is. The game renders a distance rather than the entire map and buildings do not cause a massive lag spike. Even the beginning area where there is up to 100 people only drops like 15 fps and that is with all the explosions, smoke, fire, and shooting going on.

UPDATE: Latest updates completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game and now the servers are utter garbage, do not get this game in it's current state. Maybe later they will fix this or maybe they will just screw us over, take the money and run, who knows? Never had a game this good go to utter ♥♥♥♥ this fast. Literally one unnecessary update screwed the game and people are leaving and refunding left and right. The subreddit is sucking on the devs nipples trying to smear anyone who calls this game what it is: bad. Fix it, or this game will die.

Where Dark Souls 2 let us down, the third installment of the Dark Souls series picks us up. It takes the best aspects of both games and Bloodborne and creates a unique world unlike anything we have seen before in any soulsborne game. It is another expert creation from the mind of FromSoftware that does not let you down. Just like any new release it has its flaws: frame drops, loading times, and render issues. However, this does not tarnish the experience of the game because it does not intrude on the gameplay. So far I have not encountered any game breaking or annoying errors/glitches in my seventeen hours of playtime.

Dark Souls 3 made by the same team who created Dark Souls and Bloodborne and it definitely shows in every aspect of the game. The environment has that dark and imposing feeling that Bloodborrne mastered and the medieval sort of look that Dark Souls had. The gameplay also takes accents from Bloodborne that makes it force you to learn the pattern of battle in order to survive and increase your longevity in the world of Lothric. Battles are fast and fierce just as Bloodborne's were but calculated and expertly executed just like Dark Souls.

Mechanics are one of the only things they brought over from Dark Souls 2 and that is a great thing. There is no more hollowing effect that lowers your max HP, no permanently dying enemies, and no stamina cost for fast climbing ladders. However, they did bring in several aspects that the sequel did get right: four ring slots, gesture cancels, and the feel of controls. These are only some of the many examples found throughout the game.

PVP has also evolved quite a great amount, and it makes invasions and jolly co-operation much more balanced and fair for new players. From what I've seen, latency doesn't seem to be as big of an issue as it was in Dark Souls 2 and allows for much faster and intense battles. There are also many areas that seem to be breeding grounds for PVP and they seem to be perfect for them. The areas have differences making it a different experience depending on where you happen to be.
