The game is too hard on the lowest difficulty setting, and the gameplay is not fun enough to justify any grinding I would have to do to improve my character.

Gave me bowler's thumb from pressing the stick on my controller too hard. 10/10.

As far as I can see, there is literally no strategy to this "game". You choose a city at random (there is no information that would guide your decision), then either succeed in your mission (no idea which of the 3 statistics influences what) or fight another spy that decided to go into that city. And by fight I mean some random numbers behind the scenes decide how much either of you lose. If you succeed in your mission you get to choose which of your 3 stats (or HP) do you increase by 10 points. This is the only real decision you make, and its not clear whatsoever if it has any effect on the game.

Apart from that, no tutorial, no options, no story, rudimentary and buggy graphics... I have no idea why this "game" is considered "Very Positive" by the reviewers.

This game may be deep in terms of the amount of stuff you can unlock, I wouldn't know. Unfortunately, the moment-to-moment core gameplay is quite boring and repetitive, and I found myself very quickly losing interest.

This game is supposedly inspired by Hero Quest, but I fear it did not understand that most of the enjoyment in HQ came from the imagination of the players; while the board may have been sparse, the description of the mission, the presence of Zargon and the implication of actual space made up for a lot in the board game. In this game, however, the rooms are almost entirely empty in terms of setting, at least at the beginning.

This is definitely one of the best exploration and base-building games out there. Everything is super fun: the base building feels like you are truly building your home and base of operations; each crafted item feels like a massive upgrade, but not too soon; the world is not huge but big enough and densely packed enough that there are hours upon hours of exploration; the graphics and atmosphere make you really feel like an underwater explorer; the difficulty is perfectly balanced so that if you are smart, you'll never die, but always feel close to it; almost everything you think you need, the game gives you. There are some minor bugs, but the game has an in-built bug report and debug system, so that you can always get out of any serious issues.

The best iteration of a Diablo-like in existence.

Short but sweet. If you like swinging-style 3D platformers, this one is very good.

This is almost a perfect game, amazingly well designed and balanced, buttery smooth, gorgeous visuals, amazing soundtrack, tons of good quality humor and references; a perfect iteration on the Metroidvania genre, improves what needed to be improved and dropped what needed to be dropped; you can play however you want, there are plenty of combinations of gameplay styles and a truckload of secrets and uprades to find and unlock. The game difficulty is pretty much perfect, easy and fun to play but hard to master, with plenty of optional challenges to try when you're feeling sassy; I've played ~9 hours so far and I'm not done with the main story yet, not to mention the optional stuff; I'm not sure what the replayability will be, but based on what I've seen, it's gonna be high.

9.5/10, one of the best games I've played in years.

This game is for a specific type of person and that type of person alone: the type of person who enjoys piecing together an incomplete story from the tiniest scraps, and doing so over literally hundreds of hours and dozens of retries, with no help from the game. This is a game clearly meant to be "played" for years on end, as it is an enormous but extremely slow gamebook, rather than a game focusing on mechanical gameplay.

Looks cheap at first glance, but is very competent and quite enjoyable to play. Especially if you get it on sale, it's a great bargain!
