The only thing MS (the competition) has over this game is that opponent's tiles are a bit easier to see on the table layout compared to this. That minor quibble aside, this is better in every way.

Gameplay is generally the same, but there's a bit more customization. Outside of the Mahjong gameplay, there's a lot more stuff. The visual novel elements (when they happen, for their limited time run) are actually engaging, and incentivize playing more Mahjong matches in order to get points to continue the story (and get more items for gatcha and unlockables and such). There's plenty of rewards and level-ups to keep you invested for a while (irrelevant to the Mahjong playing, other than making your character more flashy and distinct).

Dare I say it gets a bit addicting. I'm even tempted to throw down cash to get some of the stuff they offer (haven't done that yet, but probably will just to show my appreciation for all the stuff it provides for free).

Of course, this is all assuming you actually enjoy playing Riichi Mahjong. And are able to play fast with <= 20 seconds a turn.

The first major (ignoring the fact that this is basically a remake), and arguably best, rogue-like out there.

I personally prefer it over Dusk. A great homage to Quake, and dare I say it's better in some ways (having a boss at the end of each world/section for starters, and not just on the first world/section). Impressive enemy variety. Only one, maybe two levels that seemed a bit on the weak side compared to the others, but those weak levels are not terrible by any means. Most fun I've had with an FPS in a long time.

If you're to play this game at all, I strongly recommend Evil difficulty. I started on Hard, that wasn't really doing it for me challenge-wise (I think I only died once going through 4 levels). Then I find out about the secret Evil difficulty area that you can access in the same difficulty-selection room, tried that out, and it felt like the way the game was intended to be played. Because without that, I could probably beat the game just using the axe. On Evil, now I have some very good reasons to be using the ranged weaponry.

The best rogue-like I've played since Binding of Isaac, albeit this is a far different beast. As fun as it is brutally difficult. The environmental interactions are outstanding. The creativity demanded upon the player to tweak the wands with what he has available, and what he's capable of purchasing, can lead to interesting results (usually disastrous when you tinker with something knew, but it's something to be learned for the next go around).

Haven't beaten this game yet, and neither has 90% of those who have played this as of this writing (according to the Steam achievement stats). You will die a lot, but you will keep coming back for more.

The game starts to come alive once you get to the Holy Mountain, learn how you can customize your wands, learn about perks, and then start to figure out exactly how to make them efficient. There is always a way to make something useful with the hand you're dealt, you just need to think of the right combinations. From making a wand acting as a machine gun blasting a dozen bolts per second, or something that makes a concentrated but powerful sniper blast every couple seconds, or something that's inaccurate as hell but is firing projectiles all around you as if you're protected by a cloud of magic balls.

Initially I was put off by the glorified arena-shooter-style. But replaying it on Nightmare difficulty, I finally understand why the game is so awesome.

Sex scenes are awkwardly animated. Story is good, albeit a bit too manipulative (I'd like to have more control of the outcomes based on my decisions). There are better adult VNs out there.

Great way to play board games online if you can't play them in-person, either because you don't have the game or because you don't have anyone nearbye to play them with. Also great for developing your own game without wasting a bunch of paper and ink and cardboard.

Superb fan remake of Half-Life. Would take this over the original any day (it hasn't aged well in some respects, particularly when it comes to some platforming and puzzle elements, and bugs [not talking headcrabs]).

That being said, I do prefer the original when it comes to the level "Questionable Ethics" with how it handled NPC vs. NPC combat. Just a minor quibble.

I think I like this one better than HoneyPop. More effort to the "story" (though in this case it's really an anthology). There's actual endings. And the DLC makes the sex scenes more interactive (so yeah, get the DLC; it's cheap just like your taste in games).

PS: Be sure to seek out the uncensored patch, which can be found at https : / / gameplay . tips / guides / 1542 - mirror . html

Fun at first, and I did like how the harder difficulties made you lose if you shot off the clothing too quickly, making you have to bullet dodge and blast at specific moments in specific spaces. But the game quickly wears out its welcome, as there really isn't much too it.

I have high standards for pervy games, and by God I'll not lower them for this!
