Early Access Review
Currently, Manor Lords presents to the player a medieval city builder with a lot of potential. What's more to love than starting from nothing and ending with total control of the world with not just one, but up to 9 large towns? Each settlement you own can contribute to the others, creating a dynamic flow for trade between your settlements. While the militaristic approach is a bit lackluster, I imagine there is going to be more to that in the future, as many features are still locked while the game is in development. However, it is well worth noting that for a game that is in early access, the quality of what the developers have delivered is top notch. Speaking of which, the developers are very active, constantly updating the game and providing the players with access to new features almost bi weekly. Planned updates for the future include new buildings, more in-depth trade logs, new maps, and additions to the castle planner, especially the potential for upgraded settlements and city walls and fortifications.

I bought this game and then played it for three days straight, totaling 29 hours at the time of writing. It's an addicting slow burn that feels so good once it comes to temp.

When the game started, I pressed the wrong button and punched a horse.
Got sent to jail and burned to death when my village was raided.
Welcome to the tutorial.

10/10 would punch horse again

How fun, how fun. I wish there was more to do after you beat the story, but all I did was get my city to 100%. The side quests are really tedious and not so fun. But the story? Beautiful! The gameplay? Beautiful! Everything about this game was great! I just want more!

It's more or less the same game as Shadow of Mordor. Better cinematics, but it IS a 140Gb download. I don't think any game needs that much storage...
