Without a doubt of the most frustrating, miserable experiences I've ever had the misfortune to play.

This DLC gives you nothing worth while. A really bad crossbow weapon that just gums up your weapon drop spawnlist and two lackluster other things you will NEVER see because you will abandon this DLC after two or three nests like I did.

It is so bad I'd give the advice that even if you have the edition with all of the DLC, do NOT start this mission. Just ignore it, it is not worth it.

Absolutely abysmal what Gearbox has done for this game. The new content is half-baked and barely works(IF it works), numerous things are straight up broken, the modding community that's kept this game alive for forever is now openly boycotting this because the code has been completely decimated by this update...

ALL of this I could maybe look past and wait for a fix for, but Randy "I love USB drives" Pitchford admitted on Twitter that this is "hank he's learned to tolerate".

Well no, sir. We do NOT tolerate this kind of "jank" around here.

Do NOT purchase this DLC. Hell, while you're at it do not purchase any other Gearbox product either, because most of them are like this.

This game is designed ot be as miserable as possible for anyone who plays it. Nine out of ten games will have you so frustrated you'll want to throw something regardless of if you play killer or survivor. 1 out of 10 games are fun as hell and addicting, but it's just not worth it.

Do not play under any circumstances.

Even disregarding the horrifically blatant money grubbing tactics of this game and them WILDLY overcharging for practically everything to the point people honest to god miss LOOTBOXES, the way Blizzard has treated it's employees, fans, and basically everyone is reason enough to give this game a huge pass.

You know how in other fighting games when you get combo'd and lose half your health bar it's a bit frustrating? Imagine that taking 10+ solid minutes where you're only option is to move a funny meme placebo arrow to desperately try to DI out of the combo while watching in excruciating slow motion as the combo you just got hit with for long enough for you to literally put your mouse on auto-click and go watch a youtube video only took out like a tenth of your health bar and you still have like thirty minutes in the match.

It can be fun, but the literal second you get into a combo you may as well stop and go get something to eat at a sit down restaurant, you aren't gonna be playing anytime soon.

Listen, I have played countless Source mods and campaigns and even full games on the engine over the years.

This? This is something special. This is something absolutely INSANE. This feel beyond retail quality, and is honestly probably the best FPS I've played in years. If you love Half- Life, play this mod. If you love FPS games, play this mod. Absolutely incredible experience, 10/10, can not recommend it enough.

I have a lot of mixed opinions on this game, as it seems for every single positive point there's a huge negative.

The game has some of the tightest, most fun gameplay of an FPS I've ever played much less the franchise up until this point...but the writing is so abysmal it actually brings this point down drastically.

The variety of playstyles is fantastic with every tree of a character genuinley feeling almost like entirely different characters as a whole...but lack of a new character DLC and lack of representation of certain playstyles from previous games is extremely noticeable and the DLC character trees not only don't rectify this but are incredibly weak overall. And speaking of the DLC, the way DLC was distributed in this game was atrocious and some of the worst examples of season passes and trying to milk a game I've ever seen while simultaneously adding virtually nothing worth getting.

Also character customization is the most in depth it's ever been, but cosmetic heads and skins rarely ever drop and when they do most of them are absolute garbage. This entire game is just one step forward four steps back but I'll be damned if it isn't fun enough to ALMOST warrant it. I recommend getting it on a massive sale. Like sub $20. It is a fun game it just has a metric ton of faults and the post-release support has been terrible.

This port was so bad and lazy that it inspired a team of developers to devote sixteen years of their lives to making a better one, fueled by the love and passion for the Half-Life franchise that they found and picked up after Valve failed to claim it at the Airport. And spite, don't forget the pure spite.

Either buy the original Half-life or buy Black Mesa, there's really no need to get this one unless you just want to own every Half-Life game for completions sake or curiously fumble around to see how bare bones this port actually is.

Great game, contrary to popular belief the servers are still alive and well, but there is a glitch that occasionally occurs that keeps you from accessing them!

All you need to do to fix it is go to appdata/local and delete the folder marked "Game.exe_Url".

After you do that, game should launch and connect just fine!
