If you are reading this then you are probably the intended audience for this game. That said if you are or are not Elevator Action Returns is a stunning game both visually and musically.

Port related:
Port runs fine sounds fine and has some creature comforts and unlockables preunlocked.
This is a port of the Sega Saturn VING published release and while that is fine because the Saturn Version is basically arcade perfect I kind of wish it was a port of the arcade data. The loading screen animation is cool and all but its 2023 and I dont want to artifically wait for the next stage to load. Would be nice if there was an option to skip that ... maybe there is.

The control scheme presets to WASD why I have no idea but its an easy enough fix by just changing the control scheme.

And thats the only gripes I have about this port its well made I dont see any issues compared to when I played it numerous other times.

Game Related

It may not be some kind of ground breaking and revolutionary title but this is the 90s Arcade equivalent of a AAA title.
Anyways this game was massively overlooked because arcades on a whole were having a troubled time in the 90s and Fighting Games and Music games were the new biggest thing ever. "2D scrolling action platformers and STG's I can play those at home."

Do your self a big favor and just buy this game or play it, its an experiance and co-op play is surprisingly good for an arcade title!

As a 100% impulse buy, I really like where this game is going, the concept is soild the mechanics are solid. I think it could use some Aesthetic tweaks, but for the price you really cant expect the world of it. Its definately addicting though I think with some additional aesthetic content it could be a even more addicting game.

I havent had to much time to mess about with it but the time I did spend on the small board, you are definately going to find it enjoyable and most likely really start scratching your head for the larger boards. Ill have to pick it up again soon!


But as it is, 0.99 cent you cant really complain.

Definately recommend checking this one out if you got some spare change or like the concept from the screen shots/video guys and gals! 7/10

Looks good I like this game alot in terms of how much potential i can see coming to it. Controls are tight and fast. If you like UT CPMA or Quake3Arena take a few mins to look this one over!

Game is ALOT of fun, I welcome the new steam workshop additions and dedicated server additons, The game is 9.99 now but thats a one time payment and frankly i didnt even have to pay for this update. I think since my account was still active I was grandfathered into the new update. Regardless its still ALOT of fun and in my book I would have still paid the 9.99 for it cheaper anyways than the old payment system. All in all i give it a positive review Its good old quake and the veterns scream anytime any critical update happens and if they dont like them they can go back to playing vanilla Quake World for all I care lol. (ps: iirc you can still make servers with legacy mode or w/e turned on, which gets rid of alot sometimes bothersome additions like loadouts.)
