fun game play

This game is amazing. It took me a lot of dead people crashing before getting to the point that they lived. I also found the amazing modding community that adds so much more. Mods are what make this game fun long term. You will be slow going through this game and expect people to die.
The game does offer a number of play though options that gives it more life depending on when in the tech tree you start. The story of crashing on a planet and surviving is fun, kind of like creating a Firefly outpost.
I would get this game again and buy any new games from this developer.

Younger son likes playing this and making new creatures.

Lots of stuff to learn so you can fully play the game, it will take 4-6 hours just to get past the tutorial missions. Graphics are great, tech tree gives you lots to build and you will lose track of time playing this game.

As for the people having problems launching the game, need to get over it. Yes Steam launches UPlay, yes that is annoying, just copy your Game Key and paste it in where it asks for it. Let it do its updates, it didn't take me very long on a 5 year old computer and standard Cable Internet to install 4-5GB and updates.

Get it on sale and have fun if your are into this type of games.
