Fallout 76 had an incredibly rocky start as the first go for Bethesda to create a multiplayer entry into the venerable franchise. It places the beginning of the game only twenty-five years after the Great War preceding the original Fallout game by decades and creating a new narrative in post-war Appalachia. The original story created a wasteland devoid of most NPCs and their colorful personalities that were a staple to the Fallout universe.

The original storyline, long-running limited content, cheaters (such as aimbotters), and buggy game put off many players from the launch. However most of these problems have been corrected with the Wastelanders and Broken Steel questlines, improved features, and better corrections to deter aimbotters and other cheaters. I've enjoyed the narrative content and feel the multiplayer experience is something different in a sea of long grindy MMORPGs that is more welcoming to the casual player.
