THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME IN IT'S GENRE. UNBEATABLE KINO GAMEPLAY. VERY FUN.

This game is pure ♥♥♥♥. Everything bad about the borderlands series is turned up to 11 in this game. Horrid pants on head retarded writing, from the jokes to the more serious story beats it's all garbage. The gameplay is uninteresting at all points, from early mid to late. Every skill tree is an rpg archetype crammed hamfisted into a fps giving you only the worst of both types of gameplay. Loot grinding mechanics designed to waste your time with no real reason to even grind at all as there's not much to do post game. Really just every bad idea they ever had crammed into one game. This kinda direction as well with a lot of cracks showing with bl3 leave me with extremely little faith for bl4 or anything else in the series. The movie should have been the nail in the coffin, take the series outback and execute it.

Pure splatterfest fast paced satisfying goodness. Good soundtrack wish it was a bit heavier on the riffs but what's there is good and fitting. Story takes a backseat to game play which for me is preferable but it's not completely absent for those who want to speculate or interpret. Visuals are a treat, from the snapshots of chaos the slowmo can provide to the glistening smears of beautifully rendered viscera left on your weapons after a close (and often) quarters encounter. Perfect for any twitchy maniac who gets their rocks off by putting heaps of bodies into the ground after a long work day. 9.8 outta 10. .2 subtracted because rage mode isn't very enjoyable due to how optimized your gameplay needs to be and getting 100% pissed me off but that's all entirely optional so not a very substantive criticism.
