What an absolute beautiful game. The graphics are so simple and yet so immersive and beautiful. The gameplay loop is really easy to get into and not complex at all but it can have such variety and feel like I can do it for hours. And the music really stays with me for even when I leave the game.
I can't say nothing more than this game is for sure a masterpiece. It really knows how to balance between relaxing while also giving you dread the longer you play it.

And the best is it is the player's choice if they want to go.. more risky or a more relaxing way. Truly well done by the devs

The singular developer really found a perfect way how to make proximity voice chat work absolutely flawlessly as well, just how many effects I have heard for it and the distance being comically perfect is just beautiful

Relaxing soundtrack, polished game, great level editor and simple but fun gameplay.
What else do you need than that?

After surviving 425 days in a hardcore mode shelter just purely to find the last camper van item, I can officially say that the game is good. The RNG can be really mean sometimes but if you prepare for anything then you will be ready for any RNG encounter.

This game made me cry, not only once but twice in just a single play-though. And what is the most scariest is that they didn't even needed to say a single word.
The environmental storytelling in this game is just too powerful and just trying to survive in this game day by day hurts more and more.

Thank you for making this game, that was biggest roller coaster of emotions I had for a game and it absolutely wrecked me.

I did the best decision of my life by not playing this game for over 2 years.
I absolutely missed them nuking the entire economy like that and seeing the entire community finally standing up against it makes me happy.

This is one of the hidden gems that you find and you are amazed how good quality it is.

Think of the game as Portal 2 and Stanley Parable had a baby together and from it this masterpiece came out.

The game has amazing narration and every character in the game has their own unique personality.

The story is really good and it can be actually emotional. It is surprising how a game can give you such emotions and Backfirewall_ absolutely does give them really well.

As last thing I want to mention is that the game has so many references packed into it that you will have an absolute blast if you know a bit about internet, gaming or tech history.

Of course the game has of course issues as well. A lot of players got softlocked because they left on the wrong moment.
I even got softlocked once because I left the game in the wrong place on a wrong time.
Another issue is for completionists, because you can't go back to previous levels you must to collect everything in the level first try. The game also doesn't tell you how many hidden things you can collect making it quite hard to 100% it.
Luckily because the game is short you can play the game multiple times to complete it all. You can also ask the community or the Devs itself on their Discord server for some help as well making it actually not as a big hassle.
The developers mentioned that they are working hard to fix the softlocks as well that's why the issues I mentioned above should be fixed soon.

Overall I can say is that if you enjoy narrative games with puzzles and you love when developers put small references in the entire game then
Backfirewall_ is absolutely for you.

This game has the best campaign I have seen for a multiplayer game, for sure beating every single multiplayer focused game campaign single-handedly.

Even though the campaign is only around 9 hours long you will have the best time of your life with the non stop fun the campaign has. Every level is really unique to itself and trust me, you will feel really connected with your titan like he is your best friend.

This game absolutely deserves the overwhelming support it has since the release.
The style, the gameplay and the feeling you get from it is just perfect that no other game has succeeded on doing it yet.

It is so adorable yet so dark at the same it's just really special.
