Part Turn-based JRPG dungeon crawler, part interact-able anime detective visual novels with date-able characters.

Persona 4 Golden is a pretty fun game with a compelling story, eye-candy aesthetic.

Pros:

- Many unique looking Persona to collect them all.
- Characters are unique and each of them has their own interesting stories that we have to explore (Social Links).
- Bosses design are really cool looking and fits it's own theme. The boss look represented their inner shadow
- RPG-ish stats to increase such as knowledge, courage.
- There's many date-able character choice that you can try to go for.
- Re-live high school life like you never been before.

Cons

- The Dungeons are pretty similar in layouts. (apart from the looks)
- Enemy varieties are limited and therefore in most dungeon they reuse the same reskinned enemy just different resistances and name.
- Most of the time the choices your character make doesn't do anything other than get different dialogue.
- Few part of the game the dev didn't wanna make more events so they just skip ahead and made the schedule tigher for us to complete stuffs. (Probably due to resources cost of adding more events to fill it out)

P.s. My playtimes are from me grinding for all achievements (Finished Second Playthrough at the time of this review).

P.P.s. Atlus release P3 and P5R on steam already.

Really the best all-in-one-package game, not only does it have open world, amazing story, really good soundtrack, immersive atmosphere, as well as unique and creative ways of adding multi-genre and making it work well together flawlessly.
The game also have 26 different endings .

About this game
----------------------

It's a very fun and cute platformer/action puzzle with interesting mechanics given too you to solve the puzzle.

Most of the puzzle are pretty smart and requires you to think outside the box.

Some of the puzzle can be even solve with more than one way.

The graphic is very artistic and gorgeous as you can see in the screenshot

Soundtracks are great and fit it's atmosphere nicely

There's even some boss to fight

More About the Game
--------------------------

You play as rose, a mysterious young girl with a rose on her back (you will discover more as you progress) with the power to transfer blood to an object or drain it to her rose. Any object that has no blood (in grey color) will completely stop in time.

Pros
-------

-Artsy Graphics and cute character designs

-Pretty nice soundtrack that goes well with the atmosphere

-Clever Puzzles that you need to think outside the box (it starts off with some easy puzzles)

-Collectibles throughout the game

-You can replay the stages to get faster time record (each stage has it's own independent time record tracking)

-A pretty fresh take on platformer/action-puzzle games

-Steam achievements (steam trading card is listed but for some reason still not out yet as of this review's edit)

___________________________________________

Cons
-------

-People who likes to take their time with their puzzle might not like the fact that some part of the puzzle are action oriented and not slow paced.

-People who don't usually play platformer might be turned off (you should give it a try)

-People who likes platformer might not want to solve puzzles to progress.

-A little bit of backtracking that some people might not like (doesn't bother me at all)

-If you don't usually play puzzle games or isn't the thinking time this might be a bit hard

___________________________________________

Summary
---------------
A pretty fresh and cool platformer/action-puzzle experience that is worth the asking price, you can get about 8~10 hrs (or more if you're not that smart like me) of gameplay (without any help or guide) depending on your puzzle solving skills and or if you want to get all the collectibles for achievement

Don't get turned away by the cons you should definitely try out the game and see for yourself.

An overall big improvement over Tales of Zestiria

Tales of Berseria is a JRPG game with some ARPG, Beat em' up elements.

The Story is Set as a Prequel to Tales of Zestiria, it is not needed to play Zestiria but it is recommended to understand the story better as well as certain references. For people not wanting to play, finish or try Zestiria but wants to know the storyline and reference better you can watch the anime "Tales of Zestiria the X". The Anime is much better than the game but the game explains everything more.

(P.s) Skip Episode 5 and 6 of the Anime, it has to do with Tales of Berseria's Intro (If you don't mind knowing stuffs before playing then go ahead and watch)

The character is very interesting this time, you play on the bad side (In some way a villian)
instead of being shepherd. Your Characters is not an Innocent Pacifist this time, we have daemon (that is what they call the hellions), a Pirate, a Witch, a Praetors

List of feature compared to Zestiria
-------------------------------------

-60 Fps right at launch (no modding needed)

-Camera Issue from Zestiria improved, you now control it in second person with mouse (or right stick on joystick)

-Stable Port (no need modding at all)

-Denuvo does not mess anything up

-The new weapon upgrade mechanic is better and less frustrating, you now break down the equipment to get material to upgarde what you want instead of the Zestiria's Fusion System (very grindy)

-You can now arrange your attack combo.Instead of trying to remember the combos you can just arrange yourself

-Better Cutscene (both animated 2D and rendered 3D)

-You now initial the battle by touching them instead of trying to attack first (Sneak to their back for Advantageous Start)

-You can now choose any character in free roam mode (Instead of only Sorey in Zestiria)

-Battle is now less fustrating and you can move all direction as oppose to Zestiria's Linear movement

-The new "Break Soul" mechanic is awesome and also means you have more special moves than just spaming usual attack and trying to save for Mystic Artes

-Environment Design is much better now and has more detail than Zestiria. In Zestiria most place feels empty.

-You can now see the character's weapon in Equipment Screen (so when you change them you see the difference in
look)

-There are now various mini-games that you play to gain "Tales Coin" which can be used to exchange for items

-Menu Design and Soundtrack is good and suits the game's own "Dark Theme"

-You now can cook using food ingredient from various source, in Zestiria it was the making desert function (It's only just
waiting and what you get is random)

-The Send Ship to earn junk item (to sell for gold), food recipe etc. is great new feature.

The game is so far, very good.
The graphics are pretty amazing, the piano music suits the atmosphere very well.

My wireless xbox 360 controller works well no issue (note: for people with xbox one controller issue refer to other reviews they know how to fix it)

Note: The quit button for the controller is start+select on the xbox 360 controller for people who couldn't find it (discovered that by chance when mashing buttons)

EDIT : For people who said you can't escape the battle, you need to use 'fogstone'...(not available very early part of the game) you can either buy or aquire it from one of the loot chest.

And for people who find it hard to grind money, you should sell all the monster's loot (they have no other uses so don't save it) the green loot is food ingredient which some people will give you recipes if you give the required ingredient so don't sell them
