Hearts of Iron 4 is the kind of game that you think you are good at but you ♥♥♥♥ at.

Your first 50 hours you will think you are great just because you know history and you know how to prevent D-Day.

Your first 100 hours you will think you are sooooo quirky because you play Italy

Your first 150 hours you are going to start learning game mechanics and think you have mastered the game.

I am at hour 150 and have just learned about resources and trading.

Super relaxing experience.

Don't play this game for fun.

I went into Cloudpunk for the city, the driving. But I never expected to stay because of the story. And while it is true that the biggest production value factor is the city, the story is the biggest gameplay element. The decision making is greatly designed and the story is easy to follow. The graphics are great, the city is detailed and explorable, each area is distinctive and worth exploring.

Now to the bad aspects of the game, post-ending gameplay is boring and monotone. I also wish there was a mode to reduce the loading screens by joining 2 or 3 areas together instead of having to go through "elevators". (Obviously this would only be playable on better PCs)

Overall I give this game a 8/10

Great sim, its entretaining and has a lot of depth.

So, this is an awesome game with lots of potential, Ive played this game for hours, but its just not fun anymore, each time the game is updated I hop on and play.

"Oh yeah, some cool new mechanics", is what I say everytime. Then I hop into a sandbox game (because non sandbox is so hard because of the bugs) and build the ultimate airport, until...... a game breaking bug appears, and those 5 hours of my life have been wasted.

I UNDERSTAND its EARLY ACCESS, but its been so FOR NEARLY 2 YEARS! Every step forward is 2 steps back. I just wish there was a large update where all mayor bugs where fixed.

Oh, and did I mention I was one of the originals who mentioned a airport like game in the Prison Architect update videos.

Great game

Grizzly Games is an expert in making relaxing, simple and enjoyable games.

Islanders is probably one of the best relaxing games Ive played, mixed with one of the best city builders Ive played.

This game is easy to get into and have a lot of fun, its low price point is also a good point, as its maybe not enjoyable for everyone.

The only con is when you lose and you lose your empire which youve been working so hard to get.

This game has been in development for a long time, and it had a lot of potential.

The first problem with this game is the "lack" of varied gameplay, you have different items but you will never use most of them, this is because the lack of different enemies and situations makes the gameplay repetitive.

This game could´ve been a great game, if its updates were larger and more development focused, what I mean with this is that they added workshop support to a game which wasn´t polished, or even developed.

I would describe this game as a steam greenlight demo, or a rushed game concept, which could lead to a great game.

Newcomers to the game will think its repetitive, but, even though it only has 6 levels, those 6 levels are the most detailed and well crafter levels, that give for hours of excitment.
