I was really trying to love this game, the entire time I was playing it. To The Moon isn't the type of game I usually go for, but saw it on sale and saw the amazing reviews score and thought 'why not'. Loved it, one of my all time favourite games. Like most, had me blubbing like a baby, and the story was engaging throughout with lots of mini twists.

This was not. Unfortunately I found the story a bit boring through most of it, and the back and forth through memories more tedious, even though it should have been better in theory than the more linear progression of TTM. I guess it just didn't click with me. The 'twist' towards the end wasn't really a twist IMO, and while it certainly got a LOT better in the last hour or so when the message of the game became more clear and you put the pieces of the puzzle together, I don't think it made up for the lackluster first 5 or so hours to get there, and it certainly didn't make me think, reflect, or feel like it's predecessor.

I would still recommend it if you enjoy these types of games, and liked TTM, but personally, I don't think it lived up to the previous game, although perhaps this is a little unfair given how amazing TTM was. If this had come along as a standalone release, I probably would feel a lot better towards it.

Got this game because of hearing about the infamous white phosphorus scene, and becuase it is like $3 on gee 2 aaa...did not disappoint.

Gameplay is very repetitive and generic, nothing really changes about the mehcanics all the way through the game, same weapons, same grenades, the most difficult part about the FPS aspect is managing your very limited ammo sometimes. Apart from some mildy difficult 'heavies' which just do not want to die, and one scene with a helicopter it is very monotonous.

This game is EXTREMELY plot/story driven. It basically follows an american soldiers decent into inner madness as he tries to justify his decisions by using others as a scapegoat. Think of it as the 'no russian' level from call of duty, just deeper/more ptsd and a whole games worth.

11/10 would highly recommend.

A lot better than I was expecting with some nice twists. Good modern platform although some of the elements were a bit vague and unexplained. Worth a buy on sale 7/10

MUCH better than I was expecting from a relativey cheap game from an unknown studio, and which looks rather childish but pretty in the screenshots in store. A lot of fun with an easy learning curve, the abilities gained and chances to go back through the map and access areas you couldn't get to before stop it from becoming too stale or repetivite. A lack of any real dialog in the game doesn't stop you from enjoying the very simple storyline or caring for the characters. 8/10 would recommend.
