Brutal and awesome game. Shooting feels good, soundtrack and voice acting is marvelous and the little details, like little chit-chats between secondary characters, make you get immersed immensely into the game. Not to mention it runs smoothly on max settings on my PC despite having amazing graphics. Fantastic game overall.

This is simply magnific.
I started playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance the same way I played DmC, and I quickly discovered that was a clear mistake. Despite being a Hack n' Slash game like DmC and others, fortunately Metal Gear Rising uses a very different combat system, which at first seems very simplistic, but later proves to be not only fun, but a lot more effective and sometimes more beautiful than most of the similar games. I also found out that I'm not a hardcore gamer like I used to be ~12 years ago, when tutorials were a lot rarer and we had to figure out how to beat the game in our own. I played on Hard, got beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of me, kinda complained about "lack of tutorials" during my playthrough and, when I finished the game, I was pleasured that the game didn't oversimplify its clarity like most games do nowadays.

Oh, and I didn't even say anything about the terrific soundtrack. Oh my god I can't measure how good it is. I thought DmC had awesome soundtrack, but to be honest MGR makes it look just "good". Also, literally all the boss fights are among the best boss fights I ever experienced. It's AWESOME!

I actually feel bad that I cried all game long instead of just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ learning the game like a true gamer does. Sadly, today's games all provide you more than enough tutorials, which is awfully bad.
