It saddens me to change this review to negative because i genuinely believe Team Fortress 2 is one of the greatest multiplayer shooters ever made.

But it's time to speak up

Team Fortress 2 has been suffering from a cheating and botting problem for 5+ years now with no end in sight. These bots and cheaters do just what you expect aimbotting, wallhacking, micspamming and just generally trying to be as obnoxious and fun ruining as possible. And all Valve has done to fight it is putting all forms of communication behind a paywall. (which did nothing expect worsen the already bad new player experience)

Valve is letting these "people" run rampant on their servers, making the game borderline UNPLAYABLE and they have the gall to ask us for our money by adding multiple microtransactions 3 times a year.

"But TF2 is 17 years old, just let it go"
Valve hasn't let TF2 go seeing as they still keep the servers up and keep asking for my money.
So why should I let TF2 go?

Their neglect has gotten so bad it's starting to show up in their other games (CS2 has a rampant cheating problem and Left 4 Dead 2 has been having DDOS problems recently) and instead of fixing their current multiplayer games. They decide to make a new one, that may very well end up in a same situation as TF2.

Valve clearly has the money and resources to do something about it yet they just keep asking for more while doing nothing, It's genuinely pathetic.

So as long as Valve profits from TF2 then it is their responsibility to keep it playable
