The main way to play the game is overrun by cheating bots, third-party AI players with aimbot accuracy with the sole purpose of ruining the game. The developer, Valve has ignored the issue for around 4 years despite continuing to operate and update the game's microtransaction store. #FixTF2

I bought this game several years ago on sale and now I finally played it. I remember hearing that it was great and that it won all these game of the year awards. However, It wasn't enough of a game to me.

Given that it's a point and click, most of the time you're walking around, picking up stuff, and hearing tidbits about the world. That breathed life into the drawn post-apocalyptic world, but it often was tedious or frustrating as there was a set way to proceed, sometimes illogical such as; "Permanently break your defenses in this order to grab this item", when you had plenty of items in the area that could work instead or you could use one of the other items to pull the item into you, yet neither of those two were options.

Eventually after doing enough of that, you'd be thrown into combat or dialog and now actually be able to make choices. It often wasn't clear what the choices meant or that there was a choice. The result of that being you end up watching exactly what you didn't want to happen. The choices were dramatized as being very important to the story, but they'd often follow with events out of your control, so they really only had short term effects. From confirming by reviewing the TWD wiki the choices really didn't change the much. It was really awkward when you'd have third person control of your character, but once you enter this invisible area you'd be forced into a specific approach to the situation like reasoning with a lunatic for a member of your crew you don't care about that much about instead of trying a safer approach for your character.

The story was okay.

After completing the 5th episode, I had to find a download to actually finish the game (400 days DLC) as I sure as ♥♥♥♥ wasn't going to buy the whole game over from the epic games store or feed the sleezy cd key market. If a publisher doesn't want to sell their game on this platform anymore and aren't willing to still sell DLC for it, the DLC should be free to former purchasers.

Ok, buy on sale. Not that great of a bridge builder game, but the structuring around portals makes it interesting.

If you like GTA and want to try something a little different try this. Very well written story of an undercover cop trying to work his way through the Triads. Well done fighting mechanics mixed in with some gunplay.
