Clearly a clunky console port. Intrusive story. Always online with progress tied to checkpoint and servers with iffy servers on launch. Resist FOMO and wait until this game is finished (if ever) before rewarding the developers with your money.

Game desperately needs private servers and custom game support. Minigames are unnecessarily repetitive and tedious and the team based ones are often a trainwreck. Can't recommend until developers allow players to tailor their experience to exclude undesirable aspects.

If you enjoyed Diablo 2 and found Diablo 3 shallow, Path of Exile is probably a game you will enjoy at first. But then you start to see the warts. Pointless grind to burn up your time and "increase retention" for the developers. It's a Skinner Box simulator with few dopamine hits, because the itemization is so pathetic that nothing good ever drops. At some point, the game morphed from an ARPG to a MMO chore simulator.
