Oof, I'm glad I decided to grab this game without waiting for reviews. I figured if it sucked, I could just refund it within the 2-hour window.
I honestly don't know what people expect from Early Access these days. Bugs are a given. This isn't a AAA studio, and I think a lot of these negative reviews are unfair to the devs.

Here are some thoughts on the issues I've seen mentioned:

I get it, 30 bucks isn't cheap for an Early Access game. But considering DayZ was 20 bucks in EA like 10 years ago, you’ve gotta account for inflation. Plus, this game is in a way better state than a lot of other EA titles out there.

The performance isn't top-tier, but it's decent. I'm getting around 24ms ping and usually 50-70 fps, which is playable.

I get that the trailers might have set higher expectations. But for Early Access? It's really not that bad. I’ve seen much worse games with better reviews than this one’s "mostly negative" status.

Yeah, you can get stuck. I almost got stuck once but managed to wiggle out. That’s part of the Early Access experience. Even big-budget AAA games have bugs like that.

Yes, the game is designed for larger groups and teamwork. I played with two friends, and we handled the objectives near our spawn just fine. We actually never ran into other players—well, not alive, anyway

Try socializing a bit, or maybe this isn’t the game for you. Don’t leave a bad review just because you didn’t understand the game’s premise before buying.

I actually like the graphics. It’s not Cyberpunk, but it’s solid. The map design is nice too—doesn’t feel empty or repetitive.

I asked my friend if he wanted to play with me, but he was skeptical after reading the reviews. So, I streamed it on Discord for him, and after 30 minutes, he bought the game. We had a good time. We didn’t complete the final objective, but we’re keen to try again tomorrow. Our interactions with random players were positive too. Helping each other out added another layer to the experience.

The game’s far from polished. If bugs, strange AI pathfinding, or clunky movement frustrate you easily, maybe pass on this one. But if you can overlook those “downsides,” you’ll have fun.
I really hope the devs follow through on adding new maps, because the replayability based on the current random objectives might not be as high as they expect.

Suddenly Epic Games? Did I opt in for this when buying this two years ago?

Könnte cool sein aber die Playerbase ist so dead dass man einfach keine Games findet.
Und Nein, man kann aus Gründen nicht gegen seine Freunde spielen. Oder auch nicht gegen Bots.
Also bleibt einem nur das Tutorial zum Spielen...

Auch friedliche Gruppen von Überlebenden, die außerhalb der Story-Rahmung am Kampfgeschehen völlig unbeteiligt sind, können überfallen und gezielt verstümmelt werden – ohne dass dies mit spielrelevanten Sanktionen einhergeht.

Ich habe das Game heute in VR und Non-VR gespielt.
Ich muss sagen in VR ist es ungefähr 10x so gruselig aber nach so 1.5-2 Std. war ich etwas erschöpft und habe eine Pause gebraucht. Als ich dann die normale Desktop Version gespielt habe sind wir zu zweit einfach eine random Lobby gejoined und ich muss sagen es war eine tolle Erfahrung. Nette Leute, ein Spanier mit gebrochenem Englisch und ein Franzose. Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht und ist auch auf nem Flatscreen noch ordentlich gruselig.

Für ein Early Access Titel ist das Game schon sehr weit und der Content für den Preis könnte man fast schon meinen es wäre komplett. Echt zu empfehlen wenn ihr noch 1-3 Mates habt die mitspielen.
