Shocked by how much I love this game and its story. Lies of P feels closer to Sekiro than other Soulsborne games but definitely nails the general feel and aesthetic of those games. The game also delivers on its own unique story and setting and really reminded me of Nier Automata,

While I liked the game, I feel like you should hold off on purchasing this; it's simply missing so much content. They should have waited another year to release instead of piece meal updates.

- The story is technically "complete" but you can tell it barely passes that qualification. There's no sound or music during any of the cutscenes (could be a bug?) and there's about 1% of the amount of written material/lore in the game which may need to be added,
- there's still caves that they haven't added (1 time use for the rope gun, a symbol key that never gets used)
- There's technically more equipment now because of the guns, which feel out of place in this game, but there's far less utility than the first game like the climbing axe
- The game barely qualifies as a survival game anymore. Water is free and everywhere, no purification needed. Food is also everywhere and there's no punishment for being a cannibal.
- While the building system is incredible (best part of the game), it feels incomplete. You can barely work horizontally, you cannot do overhangs, there's almost 0 customization outside of the standard system, and they removed 90% of the decor options. I am sure these will be added with time

Given the above, I recommend but I say hold off until this game is out of early access in a few years. You will finish the story in under 10 hours.

Really fun with friends. The first 15-18 days are almost always manageable and a blast. The RNG for cards can be frustrating, especially when you're trying to automate for end game.

This game has a really satisfying game-play loop - the world drastically changes and improves as you put time and effort into your base. I hope they add more end game content as well as co-op. I would happily replay my 50 hours gameplay with a friend.

I have a hard time explaining this game and I have a hard time explaining how it makes me feel. The world, the soundtrack, the graphics, and the overall gameplay loops are astounding. I really enjoyed setting expanding into each area and improving it as I went. The feeling of improvement as your gear, stats, and world changed was 10/10.

The game's weakness is it's story and dialogue. The story is is full of amazing moments but it gets bogged down by endless exposition, where every single motive, thing, event, and person needs to be thoroughly explained multiple times. The dialogue, in general, is almost entirely pointless aside from 4 major characters. All of the info dumps and over explanation makes this game feel tedious, at times.

Overall, this game is really good but suffers from some of the worst writing/editing I've seen in a game.

This game is alright. It's a co-op game, you can build, and you can gather wood. It feels like it has the bones of a good game but stops there. For example, the only resources in the game are wood, concrete, and metal but you can only gather wood. You have to buy the other resources. This essentially boils the game down to 2 resources; wood and money. But you can also buy wood planks so the only actual resource is money. You get money by growing crops, raising animals, or just repeating the same pointless quest every day. The town and world are devoid of interaction and it makes it all feel empty and useless. Overall, it's a fun game but I would not recommend unless on sale and you have friends to play with.
