First time played this game back in 2007. Even now, 12 years after first time playing this game, this classic keeps me coming back to it again, again and again. Obviously, for game this old there is some bugs, but you have to be pretty lucky to find some of them. Overall, I recommend this game to anyone who likes mafia life-style, and good old classic. This game is just so nostalgic, that music, cars, the way people talk, bars, everything looks so beautiful. Even playing regular way, without mods, if you can appreciate old classic, then surely you can appreciate this one as well.
After this game got back in steam we lost in-city music, but it's easy fix for it. If you were skeptic about buying it or no just because of music, don't worry. Go in workshop, and look for "Mafia: The City Of Lost Heaven sound fix", and all done, simple tutorial to feel like you are back in early 2000's and enjoying good classic.
For me, personally, this game is 10 out of 10.
