Absolutely amazing game. Spent so many hours on it, and still can't get enough. Can't wait to see what comes next.

I bought Overwatch when it originally came out, and fell in love with the game and the characters. However, Overwatch 2 is a bastardized version of the game I loved, a version that now only cares about how much money you're willing to hand out to play the game.

OW2 first come out with the promise that the micro-transactions would be for cosmetics only, which I didn't really care about, but then it turned out that most of the games seasonal rewards would be locked behind a battle pass. I get that many games are now doing the battle pass route, so I'm not surprised in that aspect. However, the developers promised a way for people to earn currency and the rewards without paying as well. The developers then made it so the currency would take literal years to earn enough to buy one cosmetic reward.

OW2 was built on promises of more lore, and PVE story missions before it was released. Then just a couple months ago, blizzard announces that they are ditching the PVE project and going a different route. That route became another $15 fee to play an invasion style event that used to be free in the original OW. Sure, they tuned it up a little, but it's still basically the same content that we already had in the original game without a fee. Oh, at least they made it so you can get a boost for the event and some cool skins if you pay 40 dollars instead of just the $15 for access.

So unless you want to repay full price for a game every couple months just to play a little bit of content that isn't worth your time, this game isn't for you or me anymore. Blizzard has turned this game into strictly a cash cow, and could care less about it's player base, especially their long time players.

This game needs some polishing for sure. The premise of this game is good, and playing it can be fun at times. However, my computer sounds like it's going to rip itself apart randomly while trying to play it because the game isn't optimized for certain processors or graphics cards. A recent update has improved that issue, but caused another for me with wildly swinging latency spikes that make it unplayable. If the game was cleaned up a lot, it would be a lot more enjoyable.

This game is fun, but the player base is trash. Half the servers are full of people spamming bigotry, or abuse the votekick option. This game would improve immensely if the players who joined the servers weren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
