You run around a spooky castle as a shriveled British creature who drank too much Purple Flurp, now you must traverse crazy traps and monstrous adversaries to escape from your abusive demon dad.
Watch in awe and weep into your pillow as everybody you know complains that a little British infant man can't swing a sword at the monsters and completely remove any horror the game presents.

Once Dondi stops smoking so much crack, maybe this game will become something truly amazing.

The PC port is completely screwed.
Pre-rendered cutscenes go completely green, and at some point, Yuna's textures vanished and she became floating eyeballs.
Which was funny at the time, but ruined my immersion after looking at it for more than a few minutes.

And yes, I applied every fix, so don't bother.
I'm off to play the original.

Turns out that was my laptop's GPU screwing with things. Now that I'm on a desktop, things are working nice! Changing this review to positive, but you should be careful buying this game if you have a laptop.

My absolute favourite roguelike.
The sound design in this game is also incredibly satisfying.
That satisfying CLANK after hitting a headshot is especially cream-inducing.
And being a Sniper main, I hear it all the time.

It's like a totally different game now.
And I didn't even get this game at launch.
I bought this game on console when the Beyond update was released.
Now there is SO much more in the game.
And it sure as hell doesn't seem like Hello Games is stopping at this most recent update, which at the moment is the Companions update.

No Man's Sky deserved the Labour of Love award. Two games on the nominee list shouldn't have even been nominated. But for the sake of keeping drama off my ass, I won't say which ones...

You know this game is amazing when DarkSydePhil says it's bad.
Buy it.

For real, if you see a letsplayer or your friend playing this game and you think "wow, this looks cool, I should buy it", PLEASE be aware that this game is NOT an easy one. This game will push your ♥♥♥♥ in constantly, but that's how your characters get stronger, and that's how YOU get better at the game.

I was unconvinced that this was the best Fallout game before I played it.

This game has far more depth than Sims 4. Although I think it's a matter of preference in terms of which game you enjoy more. Just be aware that this game can siphon your time very efficiently...as evidenced by my play time.
