First things first:
I started playing the game for an hour and was not sure about the controls. So I put it aside and didn't touch it for like a year. Then I started the game again and once i accepted the controls and got used to how everything worked, I began to enjoy the game itself.
The game's main story yields plenty of emotion. (Way more than average) Those even managed to struck some of my personal wound points here and there. The end of the main story though left me truely torn. If you attend the game with a serious approach, really letting yourself fall into it without constantly seeking for the flaws or trying to be the tough lad/lass, then this will be a remarkable experience. (Which you should not miss out on)
For both DLC's I'm a little split. 'Heart of Stone' for my personal preference includes way too much walking from one place to another just for having hours of unimportant conversation and it is way too hideous with what's actually going on, whereas 'Blood and Wine' is including less ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and more acting and here you soon start to get some clues about what might go on. Still I'd say both DLC's are worth playing! (They take about 10 hours each if you focus on the main Quests and just play some of the side quests.)

So for me, it's a clear recommendation!

It is an awesome game! If you played Killing Floor, you would love this game!
The engine is running great. The game does not need so many recources even if it is running on highest graphic settings.
I would recommend that game for people who like round based survival games.
The only things that I would not recommend is, that there are not so many weapons and only 3 maps yet.
I am eager about what is coming in the next updates. :)

In the past I had been playing the Arma II mod DayZ. I was so amazed of the game, because it was just awesome.
As the Standalone came I bought it right away, because it was DayZ.
And there goes the hype. I started to hate the game because of MANY BUGS. (e.g. just running and dying for no reason; OP invisible zombies and sometimes no items or 1000 items on servers; and many others)
They nerfed the zombies, buffed them again, nerfed them again and finally they buffed them so hard, that you nearly die against one with fists only.
The game had been and is developing really slow what I can't understand because there might be enough people working at.
It's crap that it is running on the old Arma II engine which mostly garants poor performance and heavy frame drops.
Sometimes the game is crashing for no reason or it seems like it is working but the whole game stucks. (You can move, but you are not able to change any weapon or to take any items.)
They said that the full developed game would be finished in I think October 2013 (I guess) but what in this game is finished yet?
At the time where I bought DayZ, I was really glad to buy a good game but today I would not recommend this game for anyone who would like to buy it, because at the moment it is the biggest crap on earth.
