Battlefield 2042, as time has marched on, it's become clear that the game is like a half-baked pie missing its filling, thanks to a buffet of bugs and quirks, especially the notorious post-match and after-match black screen, which is like the game's way of saying, 'Thanks for playing, now stare into the void for a bit.' It's been a couple of years since the game's debut, and it seems the black screen bug has taken up permanent residence, like an unwelcome guest who refuses to leave your gaming party. This bug is the stuff of gamers' nightmares: after conquering an intense and pulse-pounding match, your grand reward is a screen as black as the darkest depths of space. So, in a heroic attempt to assist you all, I've gone on an investigative quest to compile a list of fixes that players have claimed work, hoping that they might be the light at the end of this pitch-black tunnel.

Users Reported "Fixes":

EA Launcher Clear Cache: Access the EA Launcher, navigate to the upper-left corner with three bars, then select Help > Application Recovery. Clearing the cache may alleviate the problem.

Steam Download Cache: For Steam users, navigate to Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache.

Steam Game File Integrity Check: In the Steam library, right-click on Battlefield 2042, select Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Disabling Overlays: On the EA Launcher, go to Settings > Application > In-Game Overlay and turn it off. On Steam, right-click on Battlefield 2042 in your library, choose Properties > General, and disable the Steam Overlay while in-game. If using GeForce Experience, disable the in-game overlay from its settings.

Windows 11 Gaming Settings: In Windows 11 settings, navigate to Gaming > Xbox Game Bar, and turn it off. Also, Gaming > Captures > disable "Record what happened". Ensure that "Game Mode" is turned on.

Graphics Performance Settings: In Windows, navigate to System > Display > Graphics, find Battlefield 2042, and select "High Performance."

Steam Compatibility Settings: Right-click on Battlefield 2042 in Steam, go to Properties > Installed Files > Browse, locate BF2042.exe, right-click, choose Properties > Compatibility, and check "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 8." Also, check "Disable fullscreen optimizations" and "Run this program as an administrator."

Keep Windows and GPU Drivers Updated: Ensure that both your Windows operating system and GPU drivers are up to date.

Firewall Settings: Make sure Battlefield 2042 is allowed through your firewall for public networks.

Exclusion Settings: Navigate to Windows 11 settings > Virus & Threat Protection > Virus & Threat Protection Settings > Manage Settings > Exclusion > Add or Remove Exclusions > Add an exclusion > Add the Battlefield 2042 folder.

Refund as a Last Resort: If none of the above solutions work, request your refunds through Steam's purchase.

While these workarounds have offered some relief to a portion of the Battlefield 2042 player base, the fact remains that a significant number of players are still suffering from the black screen bug. It's a testament to the dedication of the gaming community that so many have come together to share their experiences and try to find solutions. However, the bottom line is clear: the black screen bug is a pervasive issue, and it's ultimately up to the game's developers to fix it.

Brotato is a delightful testament to the passion and dedication of a humble developer who clearly adores what he does. It's one of those rare gems in the gaming world that draws you in with its simplicity, and before you know it, you're hooked on its delightful repetitiveness.

What sets Brotato apart is the palpable love and care that the developer has poured into it. The game's mechanics may seem basic at first glance, but it's this simplicity that makes it so addictive.

The charm of Brotato extends beyond the gameplay. The developer's commitment to transparency and community engagement is truly commendable. The game's creation is even in the YouTube videos, offering a peek into the development process. It's a rare and refreshing approach that fosters a genuine connection between the developer and the players.

The repetitiveness of Brotato is strangely satisfying. It's the kind of game that lures you in with its easy-to-understand mechanics and keeps you coming back for more. There's a sense of achievement in mastering the art of potato stacking, and each attempt feels like a new opportunity to perfect your skills.

While Brotato may not have the flashy graphics or complex narratives of big-budget games, it's a testament to how a small, dedicated developer can create something truly special. It reminds us that sometimes, simplicity and passion are all you need to craft an engaging and enjoyable gaming experience in your desktop and your steam deck.

"It Takes Two" is not just a video game; it's an experience that can test your patience, ignite laughter, and strengthen the bond between you and your partner. My decision to play this game with my significant other turned out to be an eye-opening adventure into our gaming compatibility, resilience, and teamwork.

From the moment we started playing, it became clear that my partner lacked the patience and gaming finesse that I had developed over the years. Their controller fumbles and misguided attempts were often both amusing and frustrating, but it added a unique dimension to our gaming sessions.

What made "It Takes Two" truly exceptional was how it forced us to communicate and collaborate. We had to rely on each other's strengths to progress through the game's beautifully crafted world. It was both funny and endearing to see my partner struggle to grasp certain game mechanics while I tried my best to guide them through it all.

The game's story took us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, from moments of triumph and hilarity to times of genuine frustration. But it was these shared experiences that made our journey unforgettable. We laughed at our mistakes, cheered when we solved a challenging puzzle, and commiserated when we got stuck.

As the game's narrative unfolded, we found ourselves becoming more invested in the characters and their journey. It was like watching a heartwarming movie that we were actively participating in. The game's ability to tell a compelling story while maintaining its focus on cooperative gameplay was truly remarkable.

In the end, "It Takes Two" not only revealed our contrasting gaming abilities but also provided us with a unique platform to strengthen our teamwork, communication, and patience. It taught us that, just like in the game, real-life relationships require collaboration, compromise, and a good sense of humor to overcome challenges.

So, while we had our fair share of funny and frustrating moments, "It Takes Two" brought us closer together and provided us with countless memories that we'll cherish for years to come. It's more than just a game; it's an unforgettable journey of love and connection.

Battlefield 1, a game released several years ago, has provided me with a stark reminder of the stark contrast between the past and the present. Having experienced the disappointment that was Battlefield 2042, I found myself compelled to return to its predecessor, Battlefield 1, and I must say, it's like a breath of fresh air.

Action! Gameplay Recording and Streaming Software may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of game capture and streaming tools, but it has its own unique set of features that make it worth considering. Let's dive into what sets Action! apart from the competition and why it's more than just another option in the crowded field.

First, let's address the "elephant in the room" – the fact that there are free alternatives like OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) readily available. Yes, OBS is a fantastic software, but Action! brings its own strengths to the table. One of the standout features of Action! is its user-friendly interface. Unlike OBS, which can be somewhat overwhelming for beginners, Action! offers a clean and intuitive UI that's easy to navigate.

However, no software is without its quirks, and Action! had a compatibility issue with Windows 10 that I encountered. The software incorrectly claimed it was incompatible, causing some initial frustration. However, what sets Action! apart is their excellent customer support. When I reached out to them, they were not only responsive but also guided me through the problem and later resolved it with an update. Their commitment to addressing user issues and improving the software is commendable

Zero Sievert, a game that has managed to evoke both intense frustration and deep appreciation in just a few hours of play. If I had to sum up my experience in one sentence, it would be this: "I hate it, and I love it, all at the same time."

Let's start with the source of my frustration - those relentless boars. Five hours in, and I've lost count of how many times I've met my untimely demise at the hooves of these seemingly omnipotent creatures. It's maddening how they spot you from a mile away, while you fumble around blindly. The game's emphasis on using a scope to see farther is understandable, but there have been numerous occasions when I painstakingly scanned the horizon, only to be ambushed by a pistol-wielding foe or mercilessly run over by a boar. The lack of a fair chance can be infuriating.

However, despite these infuriating moments, I can't help but appreciate the unique aspects of Zero Sievert. One of its most appealing features is the level of customization it offers. You can tweak everything, from your character's health to the rates at which you earn currency for selling items. This flexibility allows you to tailor the game to your preferred playstyle, which is a refreshing change of pace.

Comparisons to Tarkov are inevitable, but Zero Sievert does manage to stand on its own. It shares the same core concept of scavenging and returning to base before potential catastrophe strikes, but it brings its own flavor to the table. The game's distinctive blend of survival and exploration creates a dynamic and unpredictable environment that keeps you on your toes.

In conclusion, Zero Sievert is a game that has its share of frustrations, particularly when dealing with those overpowered boars and their eagle-eyed allies. However, its customization options and unique gameplay mechanics set it apart from the crowd. It's a love-hate relationship, to be sure, but one that keeps me coming back for more, eager to conquer its unforgiving world.

I picked up Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands during a Steam sale as a surprise gift for my friends, and it turned out to be one of the best gaming decisions I've ever made. This game is a treasure trove of unforgettable memories, and it's held up incredibly well over time.

Even in the gaming world where new titles constantly clamor for attention, Wildlands still shines. Its polished graphics and immersive open-world environment feel just as fresh today as when we first dove in. The attention to detail in the sprawling landscapes, from dense jungles to arid deserts, is simply stunning.

But what truly makes Wildlands a standout experience is its co-op play. Playing with friends turned the game into a rollercoaster of hilarity, tactical brilliance, and occasional friendly fire mishaps. Whether we were coordinating helicopter assaults on drug cartel compounds or hijacking convoys, every mission was an adventure.

The outposts and objectives could sometimes seem repetitive, but when you're laughing your head off with buddies while trying to stay stealthy, it hardly matters. And speaking of variety, the game's high weapon customizability and the abundance of character perks added depth and replayability, keeping us hooked for hours on end.

Ghost Recon Wildlands isn't just a game; it's a canvas for unforgettable co-op stories. It's a testament to the power of friendship, teamwork, and the joy of conquering challenging missions together. If you're looking for a game that stands the test of time and offers endless opportunities for cooperative fun, look no further than Ghost Recon Wildlands. It's an experience that I'll cherish for years to come.

I can't believe I'm writing a review for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in 2023. I mean, seriously, I'm so late to this party that the party has ended, the cleanup crew has come and gone, and they're already planning the next one! But hey, better late than never, right? I've spent over 500 hours in this game, and it's time to give credit where credit's due. And by credit, I mean zombies. Lots and lots of zombies.

Oh boy, do I love me some zombies. I don't care if it's the zombie apocalypse or my laundry day, I'm always ready to take on those brain-eaters. Black Ops 3's zombie mode is like a fine wine; it only gets better with age. The maps, the Easter eggs, the creepy undead atmosphere - it's all top-notch. I may be late to the party, but I've put in the hours to master the art of zombie-slaying, and it's been a glorious journey.

If you haven't experienced the undead mayhem in this game, do yourself a favor and jump in. Who knows, maybe I'll see you in the trenches, battling the undead together. And remember, it's never too late to join the zombie-slaying party! Oh and the workshop maps are glorious!
