Interesting concept. Needs a lot of work and polish. Early game is a bit slow. Combat is energetic and satisfying. Base defense is a major chore. Building restrictions on the towers and walls needs to be less restrictive. Use a smaller grid perhaps and give the players more freedom in where things can be placed. Upkeep on gates is silly. I would just jump over the walls instead. I guess there is also not enough reason to go back to my base once its made and defenses are in place.

Many objectives can be completed before the quest asks you to do them and it doesn't always catch up. I was often running around for awhile clueless as to what to do until I ran over the right "trigger" location to progress the quest. One instance was being able to make the potion to clean the lake and being able to use it at the lake but the quest's current objective was not at that stage. So i wasted about 3 potions trying to clean it.

The look of the world and style of the art takes me back to the good old RTS days. I cant say id recommend the game to any one personally in its current state, but I feel I've enjoyed it enough personally to warrant a positive review, with a sprinkling of criticism. Will be checking back on this game again as it gets more work done on it.

1200 hours played over the course of this games life. Safe to say this is by far my favorite zombie survival game with vast amounts of modding available to it.

Spreading Democracy to all planets.

I love this genre. I could lose myself for hours in other games of its likeness. I could grind for hours oblivious to the grind because im enjoying every run and getting a little better each time. This game constantly reminds me I'm grinding. The progression is halted on every stage by a 30 second timer to get back to the pod or fail the run. So much xp and fun left behind. The weapon choices are all the same. Game is bland compared to others of its genre.

Really enjoyed this experience. I wanted more upgrades for the scanner because i just wanted to keep going and explore more. If you do play this game Id recommend doing the New game+ with the new scanner type at your disposal. It will reveal some things you may have missed on the first play through.

Was fun for what it is. I wouldn't recommend any one to buy it unless it was on sale. There is an illusion of choice in the skill trees but it just comes down to using one ability that does the majority of your overall damage. When and if you some how come across a gear set bonus that alters your play style only then will you find other choices. I feel there is too much reliance on the weapons Secondary mods to do meaningful damage and ultimately didnt mater what role you played as long as you had the "meta build" on your guns. Neat story though.

Knocked it out in 42 mins, but for less than a dollar it was a fun challenge.

The game has failed to capture me in the first 2 hours of the gameplay loop.

Played this back in 2016 during early access. Found it frustrating to play and enjoy. Its 2021 lets see whats changed. Nothing, Its still a boring early game with far too much going on screen. Small ships flying about and missiles galore. I struggled to know what to focus my attention on. The basic weapons the game provides you with are so slow firing and feel so weak. I flew around collected scrap, as I could not win the lowest level encounters. Upgraded the ship with some better cores and weapons. Still the encounter with the AI was a garbled mess of missiles flying every where and slow firing lasers. I did better but still died.

Their first SPAZ game Is a better experience.
