The last expansion (Common Sense) seems to have torn the player base apart. I personally prefer the new EU4, since the changes brought a lot of depth into the game.

For example:

Carpet sieging all of the enemy's provinces is no longer a valid option, since the new forts actually require an army and manpower to succesfully siege them.

Developement mechanics are much more interesting than the old building system.

Units get their movement order locked under certain cirumstances, which removes the irritating province-dance with the bots.

My only complaint so far is that the new mechanics seem too advanced for the bot, bringing the difficulty down. (The bot is too stupid)

After 150 hours you can finally say you passed the tutorial.

Pretty damn fun, especially with a group of friends!

Had hours of fun with my friend in co-op!

Playing campaign, get killed by a random mortar shell, restart from last checkpoint, proceed to run 500 meters, get shelled to pieces, repeat.

It is a nice game
