At the time of this review, I have played Tank Blast for less than 30 minutes. The objective of the game is very simple; destroy enemy tanks and don't die.

The concept is simple, but the game presents a reasonable challenge. The AI is a quite accurate shot, and you must be as well in order to succeed.

In terms of graphics, textures are very plain. Shading is nice and, together, this enhances the tight, solid feel of the game. Very nice particle effects and pounding explosions seem to justify the otherwise simplistic appearance. The contrast is satisfying. Controls are pretty good and feel tight as well.

Currently there is no controller support and no multiplayer game mode. Though a nice game otherwise, lack of these features may be a significant drawback to many players.

I purchased New Kind of Adventure as part of a game bundle in December 2015. As such, it was extremely inexpensive, and that is fortunate. The game is inexpensive even at full price, but that is almost its only redeeming quality. I will also say that it is quite colorful, but the game is so bad that I could only play for about 5 minutes.

The controls are very bad and there appears to be nothing that you can actually do. If you attempt to travel much beyond where you begin, you get a message stating "this area is unavailable in Alpha", which is akin to the "under construction" message occasionally encountered on websites. This is a recipe for almost certain failure. Upon attempting to exit the game, I could only do so by forcing with Ctrl+Alt+Del.

The developer (Mint Age Studios) has stated:

After some explanation stating attempts to "find investor and hire people" had failed, a plug for a new game was presented, stating:

It is unacceptable to expect financial support from consumers for multiple games which can barely claim to be in Alpha access. I will idle for the trading cards, but that is all I will return for.

Surgeon Simulator must be one of the worst games ever conceived. The premise...that selling a game with horrible controls as the centerpiece of entertainment value...may likely be a success...

...c'mon people, this is absolute proof that effective marketing matters more than anything.

Let's be honest; horrible controls must be in the top three complaints in the all-time "cons" category of game reviews. If you claim to like Surgeon Simulator, you like TF2 way too much. Surgeon Simulator is horrid.

Do you like all the games Overkill is advertising via some fabricated association with PayDay 2 as well? At least they give you a mask, but that alone won't get a thumbs up from me either.

A stunning game; 3rd of a trilogy with timeless works of art. There is so much that has been said about this game (just as for the entire trilogy). I will only add that it is a game everyone should experience and take time to enjoy in detail!
