[Updated 2024] Great game with some shortcomings. If we were talking about potential this game would get an 8/10. Right now it feels like a 6/10, mainly because of the small community. You can spend 50-150 hours on this. The grind is ok. The ressources are fairly easy to get. But after that you really need to get creative. Maybe set yourself some challenges... So it's mostly up to you to find cool trap placements or have fun with raids. So is the purchase worth it? Currently yes, especially for team raiders or builders but don't expect too much. The launch of the game wasn't as great as expected which probably hurted the game the most in the long run. But this game is far better now than the launch version.

Building: Building feels great. There are a number of ways to combine traps and guards with various modifiers.
More traps, maybe something like boss units or (temporary) power ups that can be placed by the builders for the raiders could bring more variety. [Probably won't happen anymore]

Raiding: Raiding on the other hand... It gets pretty repetitive after a while. Switching up weapons and playstyles is quite fun, tho. You can speedrun as a Cyber Ninja or Shoot your way through the Outposts. Don't stick to the same equiptment all the time.
The new expedition system is great, the modifiers actually help you and the newly added social menu with filters offers some great options if you want to go for specific outpost types.
I still think that something like a narrative element or some kind of competitive element for maps (for example leaderboards for maps, in order to set a focus on the "record breaking"-aspect of individual maps) would be great. [Probably won't happen anymore]

Storytelling and worldbuilding: When I first started the game the boot up sequence in our outpost that serves as a hubworld felt promising. But once you realize the only thing that holds you there is a button that you push once in a while. It is pretty disappointing because it feels like there could have been done way more with it. There is no reason to hide the lore in the Pause Menu under the tutorial section with just a huge amount of text nobody will read.

So what did I meant by intgration of narrative elements? Our bean in the glas bottle and the whole story including the hub outpost look promising as a starting point. However the main issue is, that the story becomes irrelevant rather quickly. The story could be included into the gameplay in my opinion. Maybe instead of just earning ingame currencies there should be some kind of events happening every 10 player levels. For example: It unlocks special outposts (maybe on each 3 difficulties, so you can pick one that fits to the player) which maybe unlock some webcomic/slideshow sequence/animation with a narrator explaining lore once you successfully extracted the genmat... some ideas: How did the advisors came to our base of operations? What happened to them in the past? Why do we even help the chimera? Some kind of other Raider challenging us to some kind of imaginary race for gen mat? etc. We know Bhvr has great concept artists. Unlocking Story Elements is rewarding as well. The setting is somewhat similar to games like "Cross out" and although "Cross out" isn't perfect as well they found a way to incorporate the story into the gameplay just by adding some dialogue to the missions that lets players take a deeper dive into this post-apocalyptic world. Basically: Tell us why we need to care about the fate of the world.

To summarize:
It's ok for what it is. It's a community driven level builder. The MyM discord community of this game really is a saving grace. There are great builders and raiders in this game and the community is very friendly. The game right now is far better than the release version But I can understand if players won't put as much time into this game as I did. There will always be more Builders than Raiders. So it's unlikely that you'll run out of outposts to explore but I can see that there are probably very few raiders that will raid your outpost right now (Maybe 3 players daily). Creating levels for events for a communitry will probably still work. Coop Raiding is quite fun.

Ihr wollt einen Pizzasimulator mit Puzzle-Elementen spielen, aber normale Pizza ist euch zu langweilig? Dann empfehle ich Tales from Off-Peak City Vol. 1.

it's a nice exploration game with simple mechanics. You mostly have to find and collect stuff. If you are into surreal games I can really recommend this game. Most of the stuff feels out of place but it somehow still fits together. If you expect exciting game mechanics well this game is maybe not meant for you. If you like exploring a colourful world filled with jazzy vibes you might check this game out.

Just finished Superlimial, honestly. It has one of the best endings of every indie game ever. I won't spoil anything but it was definitely worth my time. The Sounddesign and the leveldesign is so astonishing. I can only recommend it. Even if I had some struggles I with some of the puzzles during the playthrough, it was a great journey. I really enjoyed it and can only recommend it, especially because of the great story telling in the end. Got it for free from a friend.

This is a nice short game. Although the replay value is not too high once you know how to complete it. I recommend going for all achievements since it doesn't cost too much time to complete it and there are a few guides out there that tell you how to complete this game.

A neat short game. I get Little Nightmares vibes. It would have been nice if it had a short more in dept story to it. I definitely recommend playing it if you have an hour to spare.

Nice party game. The single player mode is pretty hard though (maybe my controller is too cheap or I'm just bad because I died waaay to often and didn't finish it). Recommend it for every one who likes pixely pixels.

This is clearly is a short teaser for another game. It has not much gameplay to it but the handdrawn enviroment and characters are great. Cutscenes and music work pretty well together, too. All in all this short videogame really conveys a unsettling and mysterious atmosphere.
Not sure if it is intentional that the character's boots are running backwards while you are move forward. It's still a great teaser.
