While the multiplayer is dead now with the release of aoe3 de (which hopefully will get patched soon), if this game goes on sale, get it. Otherwise, you've missed the boat on this one and the glory days of aoe3 classic are over.

Overall, disappointing.

They reworked aspects of the game that no players cared or asked about (such as core mechanics of native civs), and haven't fixed basic issues like pathfinding, AI and random glitches with units. I've played the original aoe3 a lot, and can say that I feel really underwhelmed that this is just a remake with higher polygon count. There is so much potential but a major patch is needed soon, even in multiplayer the menu slider does not work!

I'm running the game on an i5-8400 and RX 570- I know that these aren't the best specs, but honestly there's no excuse for how badly this game runs, not to mention the fact that it just looks blurry unless you turn supersampling up.

Instead of virtue signalling with native civs, spend that time actually working on the things players have asked for. Sure, make portrayals more respectful and have the correct flag, but if you're going to introduce new mechanics do it properly, and don't do it at the expense of other must-have upgrades.

I'm really hoping developers update the game with a patch to fix game-ruining issues. Performance needs to be improved and menus need more functionality (why can't I browse games online while hosting one, why can't I see the rank of other players in a lobby like on aoe3 regular?)

Edit 1: The hotfix didn't fix many glitches, still feels like a game in beta at times.
