S tier game once it gives me an S class freighter

Fr though, I was a hater on this game when it came out in 2016. I thought it was over, but the devs have made clear that they stand by updating and improving the game, and have made it into an experience that is truly worth your money. Buy this game, both because you will enjoy it, and because supporting it shows studios the correct response to a botched launch; fixing it, and improving on it.

Tldr; 9/10 game. Immersive, enjoyable, and as casual or hardcore as you want. I respect the hell out of the devs for adding so much content and showing they respect their player base

This indie studio put out a better early access game than some AAA experiences. Worth the money and kudos to the devs for their hard work, controversies withstanding

Gameplay is incredible and the mod community elevates this to a must have VR title

Removing splitscreen multiplayer, a feature promised for years, is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unforgivable. I say this as a long time fan; Halo needs to be taken from 343 and given to a competent studio if they haven't killed the franchise yet already

This is hands down the best VR shooter. The guns are satisfying and fun to use, and there are so many options from modern machine guns to WW2 era bolt action rifles. All the gamemodes provide different and unique ways to play and enjoy the game, and the community has made some truly incredible maps. Favorite game of 2020 hands down, and a must get for anyone with VR

UPDATE: Still amazing at 888 hrs. This game just keeps on giving with amazing community content

UPDATE 2: I still recommend this game, however the player base has dropped off a cliff due to an update to the engine that nuked years of custom content. There are still plenty of cool and fun maps, but no longer enough players to support them. IMO, the studio mishandled the PC version of this game. If your looking for a more active player base, the quest version always has people online

For VR, this is a must-have title. I've only spent about 2 hours flying missions in my Rift S and I can say for sure this is the coolest VR experience I've had yet. The cockpit is incredibly detailed and space is absolutely gorgeous. Flying on keyboard and mouse is a bit clunky, but controller flight feels natural and exciting.

Only complaints thus far have to do with multiplayer. First, some of the maps are whack. You'll find yourself flying outside the boundaries attempting to avoid ship fire, and spawn camping isn't uncommon. There is also a developing 'turret' strategy where ships just sit still and turret down other players. It's not fun, and I hope it gets patched out soon.

If you have VR, get this game. If you don't, for $40 its still enticing. ♥♥♥♥ EA though.
