This game is criminally fun, and is most definitely worth your time if you prefer gameplay over story. The ending (or lack thereof) is pretty disappointing, But I don't regret my time spent on this stellar stealth game.

This was my first souls game, and as such, I'm able to remember that wonder I felt upon booting it up, the vastness of the world and what was in it. Since then I've played all the souls games, bloodborne included, and loved every second (except the swamp levels). The world, enemy, weapon, and lore design is more or less perfect across the board, and it's left me with scenes I'll never forget; Ornstien and Smough, entering majula, the orphan of kos' disgusting face hitting the floor, etc. Sure it has its flaws, but it's nothing to stop you from playing it.

Word of advice: Go in blind
