Astroneer was one of my favorite games until this DLC.

Features:
* Fixed bugs have been un-fixed: especially the invisible terrain chunk bug.
* Not the return of storms instead: boring orbs that are locked in place.
* There is not a new tech tree. THERE IS NOT A NEW TECH TREE.
* Traversal on the DLC planet sucks.
* Overly noisy terrain.
* Core is so small that paver constantly trends up.

DLC has reintroduced a lot of bugs, like the invisible chunks left from smoothing terrain which cause the player and vehicles to get stuck.

The new "storms" just fog out the screen to make visibility suck, without any storm-like movement inside. No clouds, no debris, just graying out your screen. Old storms had sometimes deadly debris flying around inside, and these do not: YMMV of if this is an improvement but the old storms are not back. The only hazard is magically suffocating. The eye of the storm is a cool concept, but that's all.

There is not a new tech tree. The base game is very clear about what the tech tree is: it's your research PDA. What's added is just an anti-storm shielding upgrade, and is a linear upgrade path, which is not in the PDA. The only added devices are the two devices used to generate and then consume "storm data" to upgrade storm shielding and are unlocked at the start of the DLC. There's also a pointer for vaults, but pointers are present in the base game.

The terrain of the new world combines all the worst aspects of Atrox and pillar mountain zones, and will constantly choke a drill/paver vehicle with organics. Discarded resources are causing vehicles to bounce upward far more than usual.

System Era and Devolver set expectations too high with the features they advertised.

"New Tech Tree, Modules, and Gameplay
Astroneers must draw on their training and quickly adapt to their dangerous new surroundings. Using a mixture of new and old technology, they'll need to think on their feet just to survive."

Mouse support is still very poor in menus. I haven't been able to access the menus to break down or repair items without using a controller.
