Great puzzle game, with nice innovative mechanics that would be impossible or hard to understand outside VR. Took me about 3 hours to beat.

There are some slightly creepy moments, but not really any jump scares (or other scares) to speak about, so don't dismiss it for being scary if such games aren't your cup of tea.

Early Access Review
Great game if you like deck-building games.

I like the concept of games like MTG and Hearthstone, but don't like the knowledge and planning required to build your perfect deck. For that reason I love deck-building games like Dominion. This game is quite literally the love-child of Dominion and Hearthstone, and great fun! :)

Three enjoyable escape rooms (at least so far, more are apparently on the way). Room 2 and room 3 are slightly more enjoyable than the first (which can be a bit frustrating in that early clues can easily be misunderstood or missed entirely), but all in all a very nice experience, especially with some interesting mechanics that wouldn't be possible in non-virtual escape rooms.

I was sceptic that I would like this, not being a big fan of sandbox games, but I thought I'd give it a try. It costs less than a decent lunch, after all. After firing this up and starting some nice music in my headphones I had suddenly spent over an hour playing around, choreographing the thousands of particles to the music. The control system was a bit confusing at first, but self-explaining by trial and error in a few minues, especially after looking at the default presets.

All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised. It is a nice, relaxing game that's great to play after a long day at work. I can definitely see it as a great first game for a first-timer in VR. :)

I did leave this game mostly unplayed for quite a while since I couldn't really figure out a good way to play it. I want analog controls for driving and flying, but at the same time, I _badly_ need mouse aiming in order to actually hit anything (there's a reason I stick to PC gaming). Switching between mouse+keyboard and Xbox360 controller all the time quickly got old. Along came the Steam Controller. After testing the game with my Steam Controller, I went from 6 hours played (over slightly less than a year) to 60 hours played and the base game completed in a few weeks (that is, a majority of my spare time during said weeks).

Progressing the game can get a bit repetitive after a while, but at the same time, there's so much different stuff to do. If you get fed up with liberating bases or towns, do some challenges, or missions, or encounters... Or just blow stuff up, just 'cause. ;)

P.S. While some people apparently have issues with the game being poorly optimized, that's not something I have ever experienced on my now two year old gaming laptop (Core i7 4710HQ + GTX 970M + 16GB RAM).

The idea is great, and so are the first three missions (actually straight from Emergency 2012). A bit braindead response personnel, however (you have to make ALL of their decisions). What ambulance workers don't understand that the best possible action after picking up a wounded person on a stretcher is not just standing there with said stretcher but loading him/her into the ambulance they came from? And does a firefighter really need to be told to extinguish the fire in the tree next to him instead of just standing still when the fire he's been flooding has been put out?

After those three missions, it's simply not fun anymore. The missions get too complicated (and too long!) for the "I make all the decisions" mechanic to work. I would have preferred a role of response commander, telling people what to focus on instead of exactly what to do, but just splitting the missons into smaller parts with checkpoints or similar (so that a late mistake doesn't screw up your total rating after 20+ minutes of perfect play) would go a long way.

This game is overcomplicated, unrealistic and not fun at all. Avoid.
