A very well made game with cute graphic style and music. Some minor changes needed (like make the sound of dying shorter) but overall it's a pretty nice game. I'm even a little bit ashamed that I've bought it for such a small price. It certainly costs more.

Pros:

- Easy to play if you're not so pro with a controller.
- Somewhat interesting story.
- Interesting idea about gradually transforming the main character into a demon.

Cons:

- Boring combat system.
- Boring enemies (10 skeletons with a shield out of 10).
- Repetitive gameplay.
- Rather dull level design.
- Characters are not really interesting.
- Boring grindy quests.
- Almost useless companions, can work only as a temporary decoy for enemies.
- Last boss...actually, all bosses are bad. Almost all of them are just so called "bullet sponges".

Summary:

- A potential time-killer from Steam sale. Assuming the fact that you won't get bored in the first act.

In a few words

Main pros:

  • Really good story that raises interesting philosophical questions.
  • Immersive, atmospheric game.

Main cons:

  • Repetitive segments where you need to hide from monsters.
  • Not the best level design, imo.

Summary opinion:

Really good story mixes with not so good gameplay elements, that may ruin some part of the experience. But I still recommend this game, especially if you like a good story that raises interesting questions. If you're not fond of hide'n'seek with scary creatures there's "safe mode" for that case. Though, I'm not sure if the game will be necessarily good without the possibility of dying in-game.

Hmm, what to say...At first I was really sceptic if I will like it. The screenshots looked like a lot of stuff that you can find on the net at the moment. But the more I proceeded in this virtual interactive exposition, the more I liked it.

It is really well made and I got lots of aesthetic pleasure from it. The screens and video do not represent the whole atmosphere when you actually interact with it. Headphones strongly recommended. It is a rather meditative "game".

Of course, there are some flaws in this product, if it was a game in the full meaning of it. But it's only partially a game, in my opinion. So, it's good as it is.

My favourites would be The Fridge, The Escalator, The House and The Comms Tower.

Usually I'm not really into hardcore games, but this one is fun (especially for that price kek). Some levels are some kind of tank sniping, some are like "run for your life and try to shoot accurately at the same time". The visuals are really simple, but look good. Plus, I know that this is the first published game of a solo developer, so it feels nice to support them with this purchase. Good luck with future projects, dev!

A very soothing and beautiful game. I really enjoyed the visuals and the sound design that together form a really calming and warm atmosphere. The characters are incredibly cute. Not in the "kawai" manner but more like heartwarming. You can almost feel the textures of this tiny world just by seeing and hearing it. I definitely recommend this little masterpiece to everyone, who was intrigued by the trailer and screenshots. As for other part of the audience - well, it's a matter of taste but I still suggest to try it out. This game is one of those hidden gems in the vast library of Steam. I'm just glad I found it )

Pros:

Animated cutscenes stylised to look like 80s-90s cartoons are pretty nice.
The graphic part is not too bad (some assets look pretty sweet, but most of them are still generic).
The controls are pretty easy, especially when you haven't got much experience with playing a game with a controller (that was the main reason why I bought it - I wanted a game to play with a controller).
This game may be a good timekiller, but...

Cons:

The writing is bad. Absolutely random story with generic characters. Sometimes you wonder if this game is for kids that are still in the kindergarten, but then you hear stuff about sadistic sh*t that one of the playable characters did in army and you're like: "Whaaat? Is this still for kids?". The dialogues are full of stuff that kids should not hear.

All of "the story" consists of some short cartoon-like cutscenes plus a lot of talking while you're on the mission. That's it.
I won't even mention the main "storyline" because it is not worth it.

Missions. Well, in short - go to the point and kill everything. They are REALLY boring and monotonous.

Moving through the city.

Option 1: on foot. Nothing bad with running, but if you want to jump on that building to start the mission or explore - guess what? F*ck you. I mean, there is double jump and dash but it's still really hard to get on some points that are above ground. The devs could at least make walljump. This alone would make the vertical movement much better.

Option 2: use car. I'll just say that the controls are not the worst that I've seen in games, but certainly are not the best. And, also, there are no radiostations in cars. Just some generic random tracks that turn on/off when you enter or exit the vehicle.

The customisation. Well, all you can count on are some color schemes for yer guns and characters and some paid dlc costumes (some of them are actually nice, btw). That's it.

TL;DR If you got it with 75% discount - then, I guess you can kill a couple of hours in it. Other than that - it is not worth the money. It looks more like a mobile game to me. Or a half-finished game. It's just generally not interesting, empty and easy forgettable, although it doesn't look too bad. P.S. Random FPS-drops attached.

Beautiful NeoParis, afwully tedious fights. And one of the most realistic jiggly asses that I ever saw in games. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
