I've been giving a curious side-eye to mecha-themed games for a while now. Glad that I finally decided to play one.

+ Tons of customisation - check
+ Game that you actually can finish in a reasonable amount of time - check

Absolutely yes to this stylish cinema-esque indie game. GD- and LD-wise it has a couple of really debatable moments, but overall, I really liked Indika.
(That being said, there are also a couple of brilliant GD and LD decisions too, which contributed to the great narrative pieces inside this game.)

Art direction, camera, writing, atmosphere, sound. Thoughts and feelings that this game tries to convey. They all hit really close to home for me, at this particular period of my life.

I also like that the game doesn't overstay its welcome. I think that 4 hours is a perfect format for this type of story.

Bravo to the Odd Meter team.

P.S. I did not particularly enjoy certain gameplay insertions, but I can guess why they were made the way they are (art-wise).

First of all: I am not a fan of JRPGs. Second: It looks like this game was intentionally dragged out or it is a result of some really weird game design decisions. Personally, for me, those decisions ruined the flow all the time.

Other than those two moments, it's definitely one of the games that is surely worthy to be played, at least once.

The superb art style (UI, monsters, characters), excellent soundtrack (I will never get tired of "Beneath the mask" and its "rainy weather" version). Fascinating story with provocative themes. Characters that you can sympathize with. Really interesting core idea of the world.

I am glad that I finally was able to get to know this world.

The gameplay is maybe a bit lacking in some aspects, but I would recommend this game even only for its magnificent UI and art direction. Well done.

Cool gameplay concept, I hope the dev(s) will deepen it with new mechanics and content.
It would also be cool to see a level that is based entirely on the corporation's planet (check BABBDI as a reference to understand what I mean).

P.S. Would love to see some customization options for the players.

P.S.S. You could make a monster that shapeshifts into a player model with the nickname of someone from the party. That would be awesome!

Despite lots of technical issues that I had with the game during the third act, this game... No, this Game is one of those projects that are being released once in a decade (if you're lucky) and remains a title that everybody remembers (and replays from time to time) for years to come.

A solid successor to the old BioWare ways with a refreshing dose of evolution. It is a game that is not afraid to be what it wants to be. And I am thankful for that.

The technical and graphical parts of this game are cool, but other than that it's... I don't know, it just didn't "click". Wish I could give a neutral review.

Outstanding writing. One can also speculate that the studio did tremendous research on the source materials.

This is one of the greatest games that I've played in years.

Despite minor bugs and some inconsistencies (some dialogues do not match what actually happened), it is still "a must-play" if you're not afraid of reading.

A very unique experience. A true test of game design and narrative design mastery.
And I think that devs passed the test well!

Plus, I want to note the performance of the voice actors.

If you're reading this and thinking whether you should play it or not, hear me out.

It's mostly a linear, but still great fantasy story. The gameplay is not that sophisticated, but it's entertaining enough.
But the main thing is that there are no games like that.
