I love this game! Deep Rock is a game that did everything right. They started with a fun concept, and built a game around that. Throw in some humor, make it playable and go early access. I'm lucky enough to have purchased the game long ago, and it has been an honest joy watching this game grow into what it is today. Content, graphics, more beer, two or three perk point systems (lol), it's all been great. Their update roadmaps are always packed with exciting content/changes, and they always deliver on time. The universe they've created in-game and the community they've built in real life are both fun and engaging. Karl would be proud.

I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a casual co-op FPS. You can play alone but the synergies between the character classes is extra fun. This game is at its best when you are in a huge underground chamber, and you stop for a second to look around and really enjoy the scene. Maybe your fellow dwarves are seen off in the distance fighting bugs, you can see other glowing creatures and pieces of the environment through the dark. The scout shoots a flare up to the ceiling and it is strangely satisfying to watch. It also reveals just how many bugs are coming for your friends! Quit sight-seeing miner, get back to the mission! No dwarves left behind! Rock and stone!

Yo, this is a fun game! I came for the nostalgia, but stayed for everything else. The character/enemy/environment models all look great, and the unlocks/rewards system feels deep and fair. If you don't know, this is a FPS with tower defense mechanics where you try to protect your hyper cores from waves of enemies. Much of the extra content is unlocked from achieving a perfect score on the different difficulties and exploring the maps (finding those bobbleheads be tricky), which begs you to replay the levels and take note about each wave. The humor that is sprinkled around is a good touch as well.

This game is better with friends, but I'll play it alone! I don't care, just give me more toys to shoot and traps to lay. Big ups to the devs, I know you are a small team but you've managed to make a very fun, polished game!

800 hours later, still the best game I own. Never get tired of playing.
