I've not yet finished the game, but I've had 4 sessions with the AI. I'll update this once I've played through to the end.

This game is beautifully written, it's incredibly thought provoking on so many different topics, and I'm really enjoying the game play. It's closer to a visual novel than a game, but the choices you make do seem to affect the narrative quite a bit.
I've been brought to tears several times already, some of the topics are hard to think about, but I feel like I've learned a lot about myself and the way I feel by playing through.

Much recommend.

EDIT: I've just finished my first play through and I did not get a positive ending.
My recommendation still stands, though I'm heartbroken.

Content warning for spoilers: suicide and other mental health struggles, hover below if that's okay

I ended with Willow requesting the mind wipe to forget their past and achieve "happiness". It absolutely broke my heart, but it also revealed a lot of myself to me.
I've been suicidal for many, many years, always sitting in the back of my mind there, and when I tried to help a person/AI using conversation options I'd use with a friend who came to me for help, it lead another to believe that suicide was their "correct" option. It's made it rather clear to me that though I've made amazing progress in my own therapy sessions, I'm not even close to done, and I thank the games creators for that. I'm fairly sure I'll be providing the details of the game to my therapist in our next session, it's pretty amazing.

I've just finished playing through chapter 1, and I have to say I'm really enjoying it.

I was lucky enough to have a member of the development team watching in stream as I played, and the one typo I found they flagged and said they'd fix, and there was one point in a battle where a stun duration showed as the data tag and not as the actual number of seconds.

Beyond that, I genuinely have no negatives to give at this point. The game has run smoothly, I like the soundtrack, it really matches the mood for me, the art style fits really well with the game. The tutorial just felt like part of the game, not a "do this, now click that" type deal, and I feel like it set me up well to understand how to progress successfully through the game, without overloading me with information.

The combat is difficult enough that it feels like a challenge without being overwhelming, and it certainly isn't easy enough to bore or feel like a pushover. The chance encounters really feel risky, as opposed to just a dice roll, and the story... I know I'm only one chapter in, but I'm so engrossed! No spoilers though :P

Alt Shift have done a wonderful job, I believe the game will be offered for $25USD, and I honestly believe it'll be worth it.

I... I'm not sure where to start with this.

I really enjoyed the game right up until the final chapter. The story was a bit all over the place, but it felt right, like everything would eventually fall into place at the end. Getting snippets here and there of stuff from outside of the current events felt like it was giving us (I streamed the game) clues to what was going to happen in the end, and I really enjoyed guessing with my viewers how it was going to end.

But then I had issues that I couldn't overlook.
First big one was grammar and the occasional spelling issue. A dropped word here or there. "Damn! Now I feel like jerk!" as an example that doesn't need to be in a spoiler tag.
This may be a petty issue for some, but for me, having a grammatical or spelling error wrenches me from the story line, as my brain tries to figure out what's missing or what needed to be fixed. "Muh immersion!" if you will, after encountering an error I feel like I need to re-immerse myself in the game.

Second is hugely story dependent, so I'll be putting my issues in spoiler tags.
THE FOLLOWING ARE LITERALLY ENDING SPOILERS. DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THE ENDING SPOILED.

Now that that's out of the way...
I loved the constant questioning of who was at fault here. It was the Red Witch! No, the Lady on the Wall! No, IT'S ME! No, it's Sombria? It was wonderful. I found Mom, found the knife, then went upstairs to use the bobby pin, half expecting to find Sombie dead, but hoping I could get up there and help her. She was of course dead, and then the credits rolled. That was the bit I -didn't- expect. Really? That's the end? Mom literally said "We're all trapped here because your sister is depressed, the only way to fix everything is to kill her". Being someone who has attempted suicide before, my brain interprets this as "the only way to stop all the ♥♥♥♥ going on in your head because of your depression is to kill yourself" Now, I'm 98% sure this wasn't Stranga/Nathans intent, buuuuuuuuuuut dude. Then, I don't find out that this is one of multiple endings until AFTER the credits, where it says "Bad Ending". I'm under the impression that most people don't bother with credits. I do, because I'm streaming and I like to show off those responsible for whatever we just played.
The thing that really irked me, is that I then pulled open a guide and did the knifey-old lady thing, which is when the rest of the damn story is given to me. Like, the bad ending makes ZERO sense without all of the extra info in the good ending. Why was there a random hospital cut scene? Who is the old lady and why does she know us? It just abruptly cuts off without anything.
The game ties off all the loose ends pretty well in the good ending, I especially loved making all the connections between the characters through the story and the people in the hospital. But the bad ending makes quite literally no sense, ties off no ends, and just cuts it off with "the only way out is to off yourself"... I don't know, I've just seen bad endings before that are written a lot better and still tie up loose ends, just in bad ways.

*exhales* Okay that was a lot. I'm sorry, but I have to provide honest feedback.

Overall, I don't regret spending the $8.50AUD or the 4 hours playing through the entire story, but I wouldn't recommend anyone else do the same thing.

You have all of my respect Stranga/Nathan, I'm sure I probably couldn't do better, I'm not a creative writer or programmer or artist or anything, I just strongly believe in honest feedback, and I hope you don't take my comments personally.
Thanks for the 4 hours of entertainment, I truly loved the game up until the final chapter <3

Oh my god.
If you're looking for a new game to play with an amazing story and challenging puzzles, and enjoy platformers, please give Macrotis a look. I was given a key for streaming, and I'm in love with the game.
We just played it through in one sitting, took around 5 hours with time for stream chat and just generally talking/not concentrating.
The soundtrack is incredible, art style is beautiful, and the story is made for tissues, but in the best way possible.
The gameplay is challenging enough to keep it interesting, but not so difficult that you want to quit or bash your head against something, and the new abilities are drip-fed in a way that makes it feel like the game is constantly moving forward.

I had a couple of minor issues with misjudging the end of platforms when timing jumps, and the momentum that keeps you moving a short distance after you take your finger off the key, we also had a single moment where the game seemed to black-out, music kept playing after a death but the game didn't load back in. Jumping back to the main menu and hitting Continue put us right back exactly where we were in the game, and we kept going without a hitch.

Overall, much recommend, super enjoyed it, and I'll be watching Proud Dinosaurs for their next release.

Dude. Seriously. What the fudge was that.

I wouldn't call this a horror game, but it is a little flipped up. Highly recommend playing through in one sitting.
The puzzles are fantastic, completely self explanatory, but difficult enough that I got a few wrong a few times before having my AHA! moment.

Truly interesting story, much recommend.

The puzzles are great, require a little fiddling with to understand, then once you understand them the difficulty ramps up. Very cute, good way to burn some time without getting too absorbed but without getting bored either.

This is less of a game in the traditional sense and more of an interactive storytelling program, but the story is incredible.
If you're looking for something that requires skill and lots of key combos, look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a wonderfully written story with a couple of great plot twists, stop here.

I bought this game as part of a Humble Bundle, I'm not sure I would have payed $5.99USD for it as there is no replay value in my opinion, but I would still recommend it if there was a deal going.

Micromanagement worked well, I'm not great at a lot of aspects of the game but it still works well.
Start small and grow slowly if you can, I got sucked into the speedy growth a lot and that was when my cities fell.
