Sisyphus' boulder is Stanley's buttons.
I believe they are the same. Why wouldn't they be? How is a boulder rolling down any different from buttons left unpressed?
Camus wrote about Sisyphus. "One must imagine Sisyphus happy". But I suggest we try to imagine Stanley happy instead. It's a noble pursuit, or maybe even a little white lie I tell myself to make me feel better.
Could Stanley possibly, truly be happy? It's hard to imagine, considering the things he's been through. Or do I have trouble imagining him happy because I am just merely a player projecting my own thoughts and feelings on a made up character in a fabricated world? Perchance.
Maybe Stanley is truly the absurd hero I long to be. Maybe he finds peace in the mundane life forced upon him. I don't know, for I am not Stanley.

Maybe it's a metaphor. Maybe the whole game is a metaphor. I feel like the game is trying to say something about the game. I'm unsure. I am sure you just lost the game. Not this one. You see, if you cannot win the game, you cannot loose it either. Cheer up, bud. Life isn't just a half empty glass.

I wish i didn't pick up the phone. I had to schedule an appointment with my therapist and I was just doing better.
Oh well. It's a great game. But maybe it isn't. I haven't played much of the deluxe version yet. But I will. And I will make a flowchart of it too, just like last time. Just to pretend there is any meaning.
