The game definitely feels a bit unfinished, but that isn't exactly weird for a paradox game on release, and its nothing that cant be fixed with a few DLC's (I'll try not to comment on their DLC policy...). The main problem of the game in my opinion is mostly Rome. While I understand its historical, all you do is conquer your neighbours with no apparent reason, and are so OP noone stands a chance against you. While map painting is fun, I guess, After a while it gets a bit repetitive... The Diadochi ones are really fun though.

Overall, the game lacks some flavor, but that is not something unfixable, and even if Paradox won't add more, modders will do. I've seen that many have problem with the Mana system, but I think that is mostly up to each one's personal preferences. I would recommend getting this game if you get a good offer on it, or after a few expansions have rolled out.
