FOR ALL YOU GENIUSES, THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN BEFORE THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF SKATE 4

After 10 years, the hope for Skate 4 is all but lost. The patient fans are in despair - they are still playing a game from 2010 when, suddenly, out of the grave of Skate 3, 2 games emerge. The games are the legendary heroes known as:

-SkaterXL

A newcomer to the land of skate games, SkaterXL built its reputation on its arcade-like feel and great accomplishments in its early career such as it's large maps. It has a more refined manor than its opposition but feels more bounty driven - SkaterXL pursues their quest for profit but enjoys the ride nontheless - a brilliant, promising little game


-Session

Similarly also a newcomer to this prosperous land - it's stylish aesthetic and charismatic leaders push the warrior along it's path to greatness. It regularly updates and refines its content to keep this already promising game a work of art. It is clear the path session has chosen is a righteous one, its leaders clearly love their community and communicate with them regularly. It maintains a more realistic feeling then its opposition and keeps the gameplay fun and fresh with interesting new concepts in the genre


And so it is my humble opinion that of these two, Session is destined for greater things, even at its current state i highly reccomend this game for anyone even remotely interested in skating or skate culture, even casual players of games like Skate 3 or any of the Tony Hawk's line of games. The modding scene is fully developed and is already seeing major use - the community is much like the skating community - we stick together and appreciate each other, no matter which stream you enter or which discord server you talk in, you will always find a home in session, I can guarantee that
