if you enjoy gambling, drinking, and you consistently dream about putting a gun in your mouth and pulling the trigger, you will relate to this game.

every interesting decision you can ever make in this game is locked behind a percentage chance that is either higher or lower depending on how good you are at one of the TWENTY FOUR skills in this game. You know those games that are awesome because the play through changes every time depending on the decisions you make? imagine if you had none of that and you just replaced skill with gambling.

at some point i needed to climb down a 5 foot ledge, but the only option i was given was to jump down it with an 8% chance of success. the animation for failing was your guy running up to the ledge but stopping himself. since this did no visible damage, but you still failed the skill check, you MUST be punished with -1 HP. I didn't realize that i never spec'd into the skill that increases your health so i died of a major heart attack because i was forced to do something i didn't want, or need to do, to progress the game.

The only "skill" you can utilize and the only "decisions" you can make are how you decide to spend your skill points. no matter what you spend them on, you will always end up being fundamentally incompetent and end up NEVER doing your job correctly, because ninety percent of your prompts have less than 20% chance to succeed

if you invest all your skills into being a people person, you will only ever be able to do it a certain percentage of the time. most of the time you will end up crying or profusely apologizing to people against your own will because it's the only dialogue option you have and your dice didn't land on the right number. to reiterate, you get little to none of the benefit of investing into skills, but you get all of the drawback to not investing them in another place.

fundamentally, there is no way to just be yourself and do things your way, LIKE THIS ENTIRE GAME ADVERTISES. you will always at the end of the day be locked into just one variation of incompetence at a time. I'm not saying let me be a demi god, game, just let me be able to make one single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ choice, mistake or not, without breaking down in tears or falling prone to suicidal ideation.

game really could have been fun if it didn't start you out with amnesia, in a destroyed hotel room, with debt, liver failure, a lost police badge and gun, and no clothes. this game's mechanics really could have shined if you didn't already spawn into the world dead with no choice to begin with.

game's objective system exemplifies the absolute worst part of the original nmrih. gunplay is cool and good and melee combat is something to get used to.

relatively big maps compared to nmrih 1 but most objectives equate to you literally just searching around a place for parts to fix something that doesn't work, repeat x amount of times until extraction and boom, you have the formula for every single map. it's boring and so mind numbingly overused that it overshadows every single cool and unique thing that this game has to offer.

the FIRST GAME I PLAYED. I had a fuse box in my hand and was wondering why i couldn't put it in my inventory like every single other item so i just tossed it in some corner. little did i know that i soft locked my team from progressing 30 minutes into a game.

there is no practice mode or solo mode or lan play or anything that would cross your mind as logical for a developer to add to their game. the only way for you to configure your sensitivity when you start the game is by hopping in a live match and being 2 minutes late to the action (THE VERY FIRST MATCH YOU PAYED $25 TO PLAY BTW)

i could keep yapping but yo this game is a directionless mess and these devs are 100% just winging it and PR maxxing for the bag. expect this game to maybe be enjoyable if the devs (who created the universally acclaimed chivalry: medieval warfare) realize that their objective system for every map is the video game equivalent of being edged for one hour and make changes accordingly.

play the original no more room in heck for free and accept that there really is not gonna be another game like it

imagine having fun. Now imagine a bomb dropping on top of you while you're having fun.

"That's fine, I was having fun. I'll do it again!"

imagine having fun again. Now imagine another bomb dropping on top of you while you're having fun.

"Aww shucks, I was having fun. I'll do it again."

imagine having some fun for the third time. Now imagine....

repeat until you are bored.

if you do not pilot an assault aircraft then you are officially NOT the main character, or even a character at all. you are an ant. and you will always be an ant until the kindergartner that walked past you pours soda down your ant hill. Now you are a dead ant.

#1 reddit game of all time. EVERY CHARACTER has the social interaction skills of a moldy sack of potatoes that has been watching TV nonstop for thirty years. each GROWN ADULT has the mechanical skills of a twelve year old with autism (not the factorio kind). They can not do anything other than argue. they have a lack of survival instinct that would make you believe that this game was created as a meta form of ragebait. cherry on top: ALL YOU CAN DO IS WATCH. NO DECISION YOU MAKE WILL STOP THE CHARACTERS FROM BEING BUCKETS OF GOO SLOP THAT ARE COLLECTIVELY LESS USEFUL THAN A TOILET.

TLDR this game should be turned into a book called, "John Stupid's Guide to Projecting Incompetence Into Art Under The Guise Of Relatability And Realism"

the game does racing better than any other mechanic

1. you can't go into first person and even if you could the gauges in the cars do not work so if you want to use the immersive hud you have to remember what gear you're on and use your ears to guess what time you should shift

2. combat is stinky and it smells like any given sidewalk in india and makes me want to throw up sometimes

3. game still does that thing where it can put you at a checkpoint with 1 hp versus 25 enemies effectively softlocking you BUT it is equaled out by the funny faces the guy makes when he dies.

play this game if you have time to waste and you have a focus on the driving mechanics over any expectation of an entertaining storyline cause i can sit here and tism it out but it's still a good game. i just dont recommend the game let alone the trilogy at full price

it's impossible for a genuinely good video game to have goopy indian code that times out your Most Recent And Up To Date® AMD 7760XT GPU Drivers®.

I have enjoyed all 10 minutes of playtime in this video game.
I am currently writing this review while picking up my lithium prescription in the CVS Pharmacy drive through window.
