There is a common reason why this game made so much noise and at the same time was so criticized. This reason is obviously the anticipation created in the pre-game audience. The expectation was so high before the game was released that Cyberpunk 2077 managed to turn the eyes until December 10, the release date of the game. Thus, this PR before the game led to positive and negative situations. We can say that the record number of pre-orders given by the audience before the game was released was actually an indication that the PR was very effective. This created expectation and the attraction of the trailers from afar were the most important reasons for the success of the game. But as I mentioned, on the other hand, we can say that CD PROJEKT RED, the producer company, was a kind of "hoist with one's own petard". Because a certain audience, who had great expectations, did not find the game as good as they expected, and this naturally caused disappointment.
In this article, I will try to explain my own experiences and the positive and negative aspects of the game in my opinion, from an objective point of view.

The game takes place in a fictional city called "Night City", which we can say is above today's standards, beyond our time (2077). According to the game story, the original name of the city is Coronado City; However, after the death of businessman Richard Alix Night, known as the founder of the city, the city began to be called Night City.
There are 7 districts in the game named Westbrook, Badlands, Heywood, Pacifica, Santo Domingo, City Center and Watson.
You start the game by choosing any of the profiles of nomads, street children, or companies. No matter what resume you start your character with, your character's name is "V" and other people call you by that name. Our character is a mercenary. You complete the given tasks with expertise and gradually increase your reputation in Night City. Personally, I would love to be able to make more choices about our own character's past, but the options are very limited and it is not possible to manage this scenario according to our own taste. However, depending on which of these 3 options you choose, you make a different start with a story. It's not just the stories that have changed. At the same time, the attitudes of other characters, maybe even NPCs, are linked to your character's background. For example, a nomad may be seen as oppressed and despised by the public when he is outside his camp; The street kid profile leads to more intimate conversations and recognition by people in the area where you grew up, and some of the dialogues really make the player feel like they grew up there and are one of those people.
Although we will not be able to make detailed touches on our character's background, at the beginning of the game, it offers us a detailed selection page to create our character's appearance. Thus, we can design the appearance of our character according to our own tastes. I can say that I never got bored while playing the main story of the game. While playing the main quests, new calls for side quests are constantly coming, so you are never idle. It is possible to find really enjoyable side quests, they do not change the course of the main story, but the characters that are included in the main story but are no longer your business can ask you for help. Of course, it is up to you to ignore or help. Apart from these enjoyable side missions I mentioned, it is possible to find side missions that I can't really enjoy, that have no purpose and logic, and sometimes repeat each other. Since I didn't complete all of the side missions, I don't know how many hours it will take as a result of playing the game to the last level. However, as a result of completing the main story completely and doing some side quests, my story took about 25 hours in total. I think it will take 60-70 hours maximum if you do all the side missions. As I said, I was very satisfied with the story. But I wish the main story was a little longer.

Another issue that disappointed me is that the choices presented to us are not very effective in terms of influencing the story. Our game is called an RPG (role-playing game), but whether it is really a role-playing game is open to discussion. As there are choices that affect the main story; Unfortunately, there are options that we cannot intervene in the event, no matter how hard we try, and are presented to us as decorations. However, some of the choices you make towards the end of the game can directly change the ending of the game. The roleplay part of the job comes into play more here. It is among the most talked about that the game has an optimization problem in general. If you are not playing on a powerful enough system, it is possible that the details of the characters do not load for a while and they are seen as inanimate beings made of cardboard, the appearance of some objects is really seedy and you may encounter some similar situations. I hope it is something that can be fixed in the future. Because it is a fact that there is a difference between low graphics and high graphics options. Especially this difference can sometimes make the image of the same character in different graphic options unrecognizable.

If we leave the optimization problem aside, the atmosphere in the game, Night City, fascinates people. Cyberpunk 2077 has a really thoughtful and beautifully detailed open world. Apart from the missions, you can freely roam the city. You can shop for weapons and ammo, and buy new clothes. However, the fact that we could not shape the vehicle we have according to our own tastes was one of the situations that disappointed me. I do not know whether this detail will be added in the future, but if it does, I can say that it will be good news for many players, including me.

While walking around Night City, you are likely to encounter gangs and even groups that clash with the police. If you want, you can fight with the gangs and defeat them and confiscate their belongings and if you find them, their eurodollars (the currency in the game). When other members of the same gang see you at another time, they may recognize you again and try to attack you. You can also help the police by attacking groups that clash with the police. Of course, it is up to you to ignore and continue on your way. Speaking of conflict, you can gain new abilities with certain points that our character has in the game. This will improve your hacking skills. If you do not want to use technical skills such as hacking, you can advance your skill development in a different direction and upgrade your weapon skills. I really enjoyed the combat parts. As someone who likes FPS (First Person Shooter) games, the feeling of hitting was enjoyable enough to satisfy me.

CLOSING:
This is my general criticism. There will be those who participate or those who do not. However, if we come to the issue of whether the game is as legendary as it is praised, or as disappointed as it is criticized; I liked the game. I don't think it deserves to be slandered so much. But it still had to go a long way to become a legend. There are a lot of bugs that need to be fixed and there is a clear optimization problem in the game, it's a fact. The story overall is enjoyable, but short. For a game released under the label of "Role Playing Game", we have very little authority to direct the course of the story. Side quests get very repetitive after a while, and after a while, it starts to become unsatisfying. Also, what happened with the PS4 version is really sad and a big mistake that needs to be corrected. For this reason, I believe that Cyberpunk 2077 is an unfinished game yet. I can definitely say that it is a promising game if the calls of the players are heeded and the game is enriched with more details.
